Bio

I have been documenting and researching my family history since 1980. It is a wonderful hobby, like a great novel with endless twists and turns. I am so grateful for everyone who has helped me along the way. Find A Grave is a wonderful resource that deserves our efforts and respect.

Many of the portrait scans I have uploaded are from original photographs passed down to me. I am happy to share them, however, please be aware that scanning technology has improved and many of the lower quality scans I did decades ago have been widely copied on other websites.

Please contact me before uploading images to the memorials I have created for my ancestors. They may be your ancestors too (so we should chat anyway) but they mean so much to me and I do like to have control over the memorials I have created for my own ancestors. Once you have uploaded a photo I cannot remove it.

Also, if reusing my scanned images for your own purposes, which I encourage, please provide my name as the source. I want others to be able to contact me for additional info on our ancestors.

I am not a consortium, group, organization or company. What I do takes time and patience. I've made a lot of mistakes over the years and I am trying to be more diligent in quoting sources and respecting copyright. If I have neglected to do so, please contact me.

Also, please do not transfer ownership of a memorial to me simply because I have requested a photo of the stone. I may be researching someone who isn't related.
