RE: Harper Family
Yes, absolutely there was a fire on Jan 13, 1951, William Harper & Charles Bradley both died in that fire. William's father was the only survivor. Just the 3 of them home at the time. Charles Bradley was the nephew of William Harper.

RE: Harper Family
I believe it's William F. We have 2 different dates. I went back & looked at what I have here & this William F is the son of Joseph Thomas Harper & Catharine Campbell.

I added his death certificate with the memorial. This is very confusing. The one I have listed here is the one who died in the fire.

Maybe we are talking about 2 different individuals. I added other documents to the memorials. I found a different date of birth.

St. Joseph Girardville...
Thanks for that. I don't want to give the impression cem is an easy walk through. I was told the boro was the one to contact but I cannot make out who has signed the posts looking at quite a few. It is the whole side of the mt. including the cemetery so quite possibly Girard Estate, private owner, Gville boro, Church or other. I was stopped but given permission knowing the area.
By far the bottom section is the worst even though come warmer months the whole is grown up a good foot or more topside.

St. Joseph Ft. Springs...
is also more commonly associated w/Girardville names although many burials from the Ashland Area can be found here as well. Just saying...

Ft. Springs cems...
Christ Church Cemetery markers in the OPEN section adjacent to St. Joseph Cemetery face east-west where as memorials for St. Joe's run north-south. They all line up more or less w/the stonework pillar that seperates them down near the lane into Christ Church. Click my pics for these cems and you will find info for them. New pics were added since summer, they may be buried but are there just the same since two more sections were added to St. Joe's topside. You'll have to click about.
