Not a problem! It took me a little bit to find it, but I did. The cemetery is rather small with lots of graves and it is in need of some TLC, but I was happy to fulfill your request

RE: Lanty Rucker

Snakes are my biggest fear as well. It is so bad, I have to walk outside with a flashlight on my feet after dark. But a few of us are going over and taking some cleaning some stuff with us and some stuff to do some rubs. There are some sand rock stones about 5 in a row near the Thomas' and one of the Lanty Ruckers, that have no writing on them at all

RE: Lanty Rucker

So far there are 3 Lanty's, the one I'm looking for was married to Margaret Ann Thomas, Benjamin's daughter. It's get close to memorial day, I've already check with the township to see if they have someone mowing the cemetery this year. After the roads dry up this weekend I'm going to try to go back out there.

RE: Sarah Rucker

I'm sending you a message by regular email, it will include a copy of a list of headstone readings out of book that come from Briggs Library that someone emailed me today, that may help you. Sarah Rucker's from this document I show two.

RE: Lanty Rucker

There are now two Lanty Rucker memorials in Lawrence Chapel Cemetery. Two different stones. Lanty Memorial I placed on here has a death date of Feb 20, 1878. The other has Date of birth Dec 12 1831 and Date of Death Mar 20 1865? I think there are at least Two Lanty's

Sarah Rucker
Debbie, a great deal of the Rucker stones are not legible. I have one Sarah Rucker that is what I'm looking at to be John and Elanor Rucker's daughter born feb 18, 1849 died Nov 17, 1888. If this is the right Rucker. I will add.

RE: Lanty Rucker
I'm not worried about hurting myself, I'm worried about the stone falling and breaking, and of course snakes.

RE: Lanty Rucker

I left the message for the person that set the memorial up. I was by myself yesterday; if I have someone with me to stand behind the stone to make sure it don't fall, I will have to dig part of the dirt out to get the date of death. There are so many stones in that cemetery that have been broken because of wind or people destroying the stones. I'm less than 3 minutes away, so I will be going back, there is a couple of stones, that I'm taking crayons or chalk and paper and doing a rub on so It won't be long.
