Dear Patsy, Thank you for your reply. My short term memory is becoming quite 'short' and I had forgotten where I wrote you. I will look for your family tree and then email you. My George W has been quite a mystery! Shirley (Cartwright/Rogers) McKenzie.

Dear Patsy, I got an Ancestry.com match from the line of Edward Wilson Rogers. My ggg grandfather is George W Rogers who lived ca 1800 in Blount Co, TN; ca 1820 in Lawrence County, TN & by 1835 in Tishomingo/Tippah County, MS. His family was a parallel family to my Cartwrights. However, neither i nor anyone else has ever been able to pinpoint his lineage. Since he died before 1850, there is no record of his birthplace. His widow said in 1850 she was b in VA. His children and grandchildren had the typical names of William, Robert, James, etc so that's no help.
But the dna makes me think that my George might be related to Robert. Do you have any clues? Thank you. Shirley (Carwright/Rogers) McKenzie.

I don't see a page for her on Find-a-Grave. If you're sure that's where she's buried, you should add one and click on "request photo." That will let people in the area know that you'd like for somebody to find her grave and take a picture of it.

I am so sorry but I only leave flowers. You have wonderful info and I hope you can find more. Best ever from Sarah.
