|Janice||RE: Hans Carlsen Gravesite|
Hi Anne. I think it's wonderful when descendants are able to add a headstone, and also very understandable when they aren't! So many gravesites are unmarked, especially in Highland Park. When I do photo requests, I can't help but notice patterns for sections with lots of unmarked graves. For example, sections with lots of people who died during the Depression, or with recent immigrant families, seem to have fewer stones than some others. So, so understandable the family did not choose to mark it, or did but with simpler materials that have since worn away or been removed.
When I started taking photos, I was more excited about the marked graves. But over time, I've come to feel like photographing and adding info to the unmarked gravesites might be even more important.
Hope your trip to visit Cleveland cemeteries is good. I am very fond of many beautiful cemeteries in the area. If you have questions about any of them (layout, hours, access, online records, office locations) let me know.

That's awesome - thanks for the nice note! Let me know when you make it back this way and I'll show you around the cemetery.
Sorry I have no other information about your father's brother.
