|Bio and Links|
In my search of my Baugh Ancestry and in visiting the Canaan Cemetery behind the historic 1864 Springfield Baptist Church to pay homage to my Great, Great Grandmother Delia Baugh Huggins Howell, I was touched profoundly by the many unidentified Graves which had been ravaged over time. Mother Nature had embraced those Graves for over a Century before delivering them into the arms of Mother Earth. Thus, my Bio is symbolic of my African-American Ancestors and the preservations of their Legacies, with my hopes along Life's pathways of preserving the Legacies of others who are in search of theirs as well.|

You are most welcome....I hate for anyone to ever be forgotten and your work is amazing. Hopefully your hard work will help someone find their roots one day.... Have a blessed day....

I wanted to thank you for ALL the hard work you have put into preserving the memory of all that are at rest here. You have done so much to link all family members- I think everyone deserves to be remembered. I went a photographed the entire cemetery yesterday so that I could add a photo to your work.

Hi There -- so good to hear from you! I made the cemetery correction for his memorial. Have you checked my page for Gooch memorials? I have a few you may wish to check and see if they belong to you. They are in Vance, Durham and Granville counties. Thanks for your help as always!!
Thx greensboro24: I've changed my Todd & Howell ancestors from "Saint Paul Cemetery" to read "St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery". Please change John Todd as well. Do you know if there's any existing picture(s) of him? I met & remember both Aunt Clara (lived in Athens) & Uncle John Henry "Shoestring" Todd (lived in Greensboro/Penfield). I never met Charleston. I met Frazier Benjamin Todd back in the mid-'80s. He was in the Army & I was in the Air Force. In '89 he eulogized my first cousin, Ella Rene Tripp-Harris, in Atlanta. I could see my Todd family resemblance in him & he said I reminded him of one of his brothers. My conclusion is we're related thru half-brothers: Sam & John Henry or maybe Charleston (All sons of John Todd). Who knows (?), maybe even Caroline Ward was also related to Harriet Ward...Again, thx & God bless. :)

I went back and rechecked Green Grove. Many graves are unmarked, but I found a few more, especially a couple Harrington's. I am starting Popular Springs this coming week, so if you want to request someone, I will find them for you. Thanks for your help
|Edith Williams||Dawson Cemetery|
Thank you so much! I have been looking for this cemetery for a very long time. I have found other Dawson Cemeteries, but not this one. I have several families members buried there. Again, thank you!
I added your photo and deleted mine. I and Lois Bayer are trying to photograph to preserve some local cemeteries. I would appreciate it if you would continue to help with Green Grove. Thank you
|SGM HORNE||RE: Green Grove Cemetery|
I have his (TJ) picture along with over 200 others. I will get them all uploaded as I create memorials for them, and also the ones you have already created. I too want to preserve older cemeteries.
