Born in eastern Kansas but didn't end up staying long. Grew up in the Hudson Valley of New York (too bad I didn't know then that I had ancestors in New Amsterdam). Lived in New York City from the 1980's to the early 2000's. North Carolina, now.|
My email address is not publicly visible, which has worked well for avoiding UCE. If you want to contact me, pick one of the memorials I manage from my contributor page, then, under the Edit tab, click the "Suggest any other correction" link, and tell me what you want me to know (including your email address if you want a reply).
If I submitted a correction for a memorial of yours, I have seen reliable evidence for the edit (I may have used the above method to contact you about it).
My interest in family history came in part from wanting to find out more about my connection to Daniel Boone, after being told by my grandmother Lewis that her grandmother Armstrong was his great-great-great-granddaughter. It turns out that Almeda Rexford was born in upstate New York to a family of New Englanders who never lived anywhere near the Boones. But it turns out there are Boones in my family after all—Debby ("You Light Up My Life") Boone, her sisters, my brother and I are all great-great-great-grandchildren of Elijah and Polly Jane Foley of Crab Orchard, Kentucky.
So I trust documentary sources more than I trust family stories. But: Lena (Devore) Dickerson is buried in Richmond Cemetery next to her husband M.M. ("Cap") Dickerson, but the name written on her death certificate is "Lena Devore Middleton". I have no idea why.

You are very welcome. I was searching my Devore line and I found this. I usually try to upload interesting things I find. :-)

Hello! I am Jeff Lee's wife, Jeff is Rosalie's grandson - son - Danny D. Lee. I am glad you like that, I am trying to fill in the gaps on the Lee side.

I just transferred all 5 memorials to you. I would definitely rather have family (even distant) manage the memorials I created. Hopefully you can connect them to other family members so they are not "lost souls". Take care and Merry Christmas. If you need any other pictures taken or retaken, please let me know. I work across I-10 from this cemetery and documenting it was a project of mine the last couple years!

|Cris Brown||Thanks for Benge Information|
Hi Dave: Thank you very much for the Benge information. It is truly a small world when you get a grasp of all the minute connections. I appreciate your thoughts and help very much. Cris
|Cris Brown||Thank you!|
Dave: Thank you so very much for the Lella Young Weinburg hint...I felt she must be married, but her tombstone didn't say...you're so kind to share this. Much appreciated by me and the family! Thank you. Cris Brown

I will be heading to New York City next week, but see that you have relocated.

Glad I could help. Sorry the photo looks a bit skewed. The sun was being weird that day, and I was trying to limit glare and lens flare.

Thank you for improvement of the memorial. I have added a link to her mother's memorial and added the further information that you sent.
