I've been tracing my family tree just about all my life. I got seriously interested about 15 yrs. ago when my dad and I would talk for hours about his family, the Hunters. Since then I have met many cousins online and have become reacquainted with other family members of the Hunter, Norwood, and Carroll line from NC. I have traveled to Raleigh, NC, to the state archives, the cemeteries around Raleigh, Smithfield and Archer's Lodge photographing info to add to the family tree. I am a direct descendant of tavern owner, Isaac Hunter, of Raleigh.|
Unlike some other gravers, if you want me to transfer a memorial of a friend or family member just ask and I will happy to do so. When requesting a photo, PLEASE contact the cemetery office and ask for the location. They will give you the name of the section and the plot number. These are not MY memorials; they are here for you. I don't care anything about the number of memorials/photos I have racked up. I hope that some of you that realize a loved one has no marker will somehow provide one for that person so that they will always be remembered.

Hi - thanks for your message about the memorial for Marvin Otis FULLER, Sr. With regard to the FindAGrave website in particular, if you could refer me to the policy heading or cut-and-paste the section that expressly addresses Social Security numbers, I would be interested in reading that and knowing what the exact wording is. My understanding is that privacy considerations apply to living persons. More generally, Social Security numbers for deceased persons are a matter of public record - there are any number of online databases where these can be accessed, including on Ancestry.com, which as you probably are aware owns FindAGrave. Deceased persons have no expectation of privacy, as they are deceased. In a few specific instances, I have been requested by a family member to remove a Social Security number from a memorial, which requests I have complied with, and if you would like me to remove the one from the above referenced memorial specifically, I will be glad to do it. However, on a more general basis, I am not prepared to go through and remove Social Security numbers that can be found many other places online, unless the is an express admonition in that regard in the stated guidelines of FindAGrave. Thanks again - John
Thank you so very much. We appreciate it...are you related to Bob Sikes and the Sikesgroup on ancestry?

Thank you so much for your help. I am driving down in a couple of weeks to square things away. You are truly a blessing to families that are not able to visit loved ones.

The headstone should be down. She is under the crosses. It was ordered in late July.
