I have lived in Vidor all my life as have my parents and my Grandparents who came here as young children or teenagers. Which translate into my Great Grandparents arriving as young adults. I mostly go to smaller cemeteries but will try to get to the larger ones like Forest Lawn soon..
My fascination with headstones is 2 fold, there is the information, birth and/or death dates, spouses names & info..that's the fact finding.. Then there is the connection when you find a relative, partly the "oh I finally found you" & the "now I know where you are" which brings the emotional connection close to your heart..
If I can help someone experience either of those it makes me happy..
