Bio and Links
Bio Photo We lived on Crummies Mountain, Harlan Co. Ky., when I was born. I grew up, for the most part, at the foot of Crummies Mt. I have a long line of relatives that is stretched all across the U.S. I hope to someday have all my past kin documented for the generations that come after me to be able to look for their ancestors with much more ease.It has been difficult finding a lot of information. My family consists of-- Allen, Peace, King, Cameron, Vandagriff, Kirkland, Price, and too many more to mention.

Thank you so much for the information. It was great to see a picture of Ossie and her son Dixie.
Sorry it took me so long to respond, but my life has been a tornado and it's just starting to calm down.

RE: E. Cook

Hello Ruby,

I just now transferred the Memorial to you. I'm very glad you recognized her tombstone. I did not know. I had a hard time trying to read the name on the stone.

RE: Fred Greif
Ruby after I posted the photos then I noticed that Trey Thompson already had a memorial listed from 2 years ago with his full name im sure he would work something out since there are now duplicates, also I noticed a sister of Frederick in the back ground her name was Minue (Greif) Rowlett born oct 27 1872 and then there was a baby daughter Willie Esther Lowry im sure a daughter of the other sister but it says the daughter of W.L. & E.B. Lowry so not for sure if she is the daughter of Mesdame Ella or not.

RE: The Kings

I've transferred all of the memorials to you that I had created. If you want me to delete the photo that I added to each memorial, I will. By deleting mine, you will have space to add your photos. I think there is a limit of photos to add to a memorial. Just let me know.

RE: The Kings

Hello, I will be glad to work with you on linking the family members together.

I'm not sure, but it might be better if I transfer their Memorials to you to maintain, etc. As far as I know, I am not kin to any of the Kings and I will be happy to transfer them.

I will help in any way that I can. Just let me know.

Also, there is a King Family Section in the Neff Cemetery. They are listed in "Neff Cemetery" on Find A Grave. They may be some of your family members too. The cemetery is adjacent to the Middleton Cemetery.

RE: Stumped
Glad you found me! I've stared at the photo, and am not seeing anything different. I searched online records for a Bertha - unfortunately, she died prior to 1850, so missed the census, and the KY death records don't start till 1852. I do think the name is Bertha - I think I can see the bottom points of the A below the broken-off area. If there is only one date, it's possible that it was an infant. Sorry I can't help more. Let me know if you ever figure it out. ~ Linda

I will attempt to find your family members grave in the next couple of weeks. The weather here has been cold and rainy. If we have a decent sunny day soon I will go to Oak Grove and look for his grave. Will contact you when I find it.
