Born:4/19/1948 in Portland, Oregon. In Montana since 1967 and loving it. I began my genealogy studies after my daughter was born in 1977. Everything was by snail mail and it was super expensive to phone everywhere. I picked it up again in 1999 and am very excited to find all the information on my mother, Lillian Mersereau. She has been a mystery to me since I was born as she was never able to raise the 5 of us due to illness. Now I have actually located her sister's children, my cousins just within the last few months. I cheerfully report that we are corresponding and swapping pictures and stories of our mutual ancestors. We are also putting together the mystery of family illnesses. I plan on getting a DNA profile eventually.|

You put in a request for pics of Charles Ozro Merrill's grave in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery here in Portland.
He is buried next to his wife Grace. 1891-1952
Nobody has made a page for Grace as yet. Do you want to do that? If you make the page can you put in a request for pics of her grave too?

I do not live near that Cemetery. I was there on business and went on my free time. I would be willing to take some more when I go back, but not sure when I will get back. As for knowing someone or suggesting how to get the word out, your guess is as good as mine. If someone has volunteered in that area, they will get a notice that there has been a request for a photo. You could post in the New York section to see if someone would be willing to do it. Other than that, I do not know.

Thank you for taking the time to find his burial spot. I appreciate you doing that for me.

Thank you for your efforts! I'm terribly sorry, I was sure they were in that cemetery! Also, I know in the 1840's there were Reeds in Illinois, but the Reeds in my direct line were Mormon converts and came west to Utah in 1852. I'm not sure if there were other (non-Mormon?) Reeds who stayed in the Midwest, but it is certainly possible! They were originally from the Massachusetts and VT/NH area.

Since you added the photo, I thought that perhaps you added the coordinates from your camera's GPS. They had it in Section 6...
I was taking some pictures last year in the cemetery across the street, and the GPS on my new camera said I was over in the golf course across the street...
