Bio and Links
Bio Photo A number years ago I began to research my husband's family genealogy and became hooked! Cemetery documentation can be so helpful and I greatly appreciated finding records that had been added by others that aided me in my research. I decided to "pay it forward" by adding records of cemeteries that are in and around the Douglas, Pope & Stevens County area in Minnesota. I am willing to edit/add information to the memorials I've added or will transfer any memorials to those that have close family ties.

I try to take the extra time and do a bit of research on each memorial I've added. That way most memorials are linked to his/her parents and children.

RE: Fredrick Gottlieb Heinrich
Thank you for your feedback. After searching "Find A Grave" I did signup for the free trial of and I was able to download the 1920 and 1930 census. I also found a military registration card with his signature on it! It's amazing how many different spellings are out there, on government documents!

Find A Grave Memorial# 118914249

I'm just starting to look up my husband's family history. I am questioning the information you have entered for Fredrick Gottlieb Heinrich.

The spelling of his first name I have from his son's (Julius Heinrich) obituary is Frederick (with an E) and his headstone that is pictured has the same spelling - so the name you entered as the heading is spelled incorrectly.

Also, regarding Frederick and Anne's children. On his son's obituary (Julius Heinrich) I have Frederick's children's names as:
Charles Heinrich
Julius Heinrich
Phyllis (Heinrich) Dyer
Frederick Heinrich (infant)

So, my question is: I have "Charles" and you have "Ishmael" - I would like to know where you found that name as I'm wondering if I have it wrong (from the obituary) or if you may have it wrong.

Thank you for your time and information! :)

Charles Collins
I am curious to know why you created a memorial to Charles Collins at Minneapolis Pioneers and Soldiers Cemetery. Are you related or have you been contacted by family? His grave is marked although his findagrave records says that it is not.

More info on the Anders Andersson Hurtig Helberg family
Looks to me like the family patronymic surname was Andersson for the sons (Andersdotter for the daughters) and the non-patronymic name in Sweden for the whole family was actually HURTIG.

As I don't have the emigration/immigration papers, I do not know when they changed all of their surnames to Helberg. Here's the link to the Swedish household clerical survey. These are similar to the US Census but generally the legal responsibility of the parish.

Skogen - McGuire Family
Dear R.Bey,
I'm doing my friend Kenneth Lee McGuire's Family tree for him. Do you have anything more on the family? He has lost all his family photos and documents in a house fire so the photos on find a grave are dear to him.
Ken's linage to Erick O. SKOGEN starts with himself:
Kenneth Lee McGuire

Father: Francis Kenneth McGuire
Mother: Betty Elaen Warren

Grandfather: Lee Lionell McGuire born April 1875,
Died 2 Dec. 1961 Olympia, Thurston Co., Washington, burial Odd Fellows Memorial Cemetery, Tumwater, Thruston Co., Washington.

Grandmother: Rose (Rosa) Marie Skogen born 21 October 1881 Minnesota. died 3 February 1928 Larson North Dakota.
Great Grandfather: Olaf Skogen born ca.1854 Wisconsin. married 13 March 1866 Minnesota, Great Grandmother: Regnild Olson or Burg. 13 April 1859 Norway.
Anything in the way of corrections, stories, additional family members or photos would be greatly help Ken to have a Family tree to pass down to his children and and grandchildren.
Thank you, Nancy
