Bio and Links
Bio Photo We live in the middle of LaGrange County Indiana. My girls, Adrianne and Amber, and I actually enjoy visiting old cemeteries and reading all the monuments. We fondly refer to this as grave crawlin', because we quite often go from one cemetery to another, crawling around on the ground, trying to read monuments that have long since lost their luster, and lettering. We also call it Genealogy for active people. Genealogy is a family passion and it has been for more years than it has been fashionable or popular. We truly appreciate findagrave.com, as it offers valuable historic family information to the general public FREE OF CHARGE, as it should be!! We will continue to volunteer our time as long as this web site remains FREE to the public.

If I have one of your relatives, just let me know and I will transfer them to you. (unless they happen to be my family) Please do not hesitate to ask. I would much rather have them managed by family!

If I took a photo that you can not read. Just email me, I will gladly take another and/or transcribe it for you. If you have a photo that someone else posted and you can not read it and would like a clearer picture, just email me, I will go out, when time permits and take another. As a genealogist for the DAR, I understand all too well how important it is to be able to read the markers!

Hi Deb,
Glad to hear you are coming to the reunion this year. If you google "john plesant burton family reunion" it should bring up a number of choices. One of those choices is a facebook page. Click on that and it will take you to the reunion page where we have started posting info and pictures. The page also has a map on how to get there. I will try to find it in my files and send it to you as well. I look forward to seeing you at the reunion this year!

Hi Deb,

You have photo requests in for Aurora and Ellis Moon at Brooklyn Cemetery in Morgan County Indiana. Actually, they are buried at Monical Cemetery in Brooklyn, and were put in the wrong cemetery by Moondog, and unfortunately, they seem to be deceased. There has been no activity on their page since 2010. I attempted to contact them to tell them that Aurora and Ellis were up in Monical and that they should remove the ones that they put up in Brooklyn Cemetery. Aurora and Ellis have a photo on the one up for them, so would you please remove your photo request so that no one will go to Brooklyn looking for them? Thanks

Mark

Is actually Minnie Easterday (photo already attached) and is buried with James and Madge and her daughter Ada Allison is a few graves down. The obit says her husband was Adar Easterday. Her location is F-9 not F-36

RE: Irene May Weber
You're welcome and I agree, Deb. I think my own grandmother's grave is not marked as well, though I can't be certain because my photo request goes unanswered.:) I do hate it when I have to tell someone there is no headstone, but at least you know now. Sorry.

Deb, I have been working on locating all Past Masters at Lyons Lodge #93 and adding Memorials to Find A Grave. Most are buried at Oakland cemetery. I'll get a gravestone photo this summer! Dave Jindrich
