DNA Match
Hi, we are a DNA match at the 4.7 generation. You seem to have a lot of family from Tennesse, and I do as well. I have family from Rutherford, Wayne, and Washington County Tennessee. Does this match with you?

RE: Photo Requests - Bryant
My husband and I just drove out to the cemetery location. We had to turn into the private drive, however there are numerous "Keep Out" and "No Trespassing" signs as soon as you turn into the drive. If you are able to locate a contact person or phone number, I'd be more than happy to contact and ask for permission to go through their property to the cemetery. Is there any legal right I do have to access a cemetery where "my family" may be buried? My last name is Bryant, so I thought I may use that towards my benefit and say that it may be my family buried there. Let me know if you're aware of any rights I may have to access the location and I will surely exercise them. I just really didn't want to deal with a deputy for trespassing in the meantime.

RE: Photo Requests - Bryant
The cemetery I uploaded pictures from is only accessible from inside Fort Campbell. There were a handful of names listed in the cemetery you requested photos from that I was able to positively identify with listings on "Bryant Cemetery". There is a blue sign before turning into the woods that reads "#064 J.B. Bryant Cemetery. I noticed the directions you gave me are for "Ben Bryant Cemetery", which is about 25 miles from here. There may be a mixup between the two and that is the reason I wasn't able to locate the headstones you're looking for. Shortly I'm going to go to the cemetery you provided directions for and try to locate your requests. Hopefully I will have results for you this evening.
Take care, Megan

Photo Requests - Bryant
I was able to take photos of all remaining headstones at the Bryant Cemetery today. You requested photos for Mary Allbrook and Jim Bryant. I was unable to locate a headstone with either of those names on them. There are numerous unmarked graves that can only be identified by the sunken ground and change of greenery growing over top. Also, this cemetery is on Fort Campbell Army Post and is actually located in the part where live-fire ranges and training exercises are conducted, so it is very difficult to access. If you would like a list of all the names that have headstones, I will be more than happy to provide them to you.

And, if you go online and enter ~
Montgomery County, Tennessee Cemeteries OR Cemeteries in Montgomery County, Tennessee, you'll probably pull up a handful of lists, and they aren't all the same.

RE: Bryant Family Cemetery
The best that I can do for you is what I find on the internet, because I live in Southern California ~

1- From Clarksville take Highway 48/13 SOUTH to Highway 13, then turn right.

2- Go about 6 miles to Bryant Hollow Road and turn left.

3- On Bryant Hollow Road go 2 miles to Hodges Road and turn right.

4- On Hodges Road go about 100 feet to house #5708 and turn into the drive.

5- Take the road to the right, and the cemetery is behind the house.

Hi,
Please tell me which information you are talking about that is wrong. I should have sent carbon copies to myself so I would know which infor-mation you are talking about. usually the dates I send are from obits or death certificates so should be correct. I am working on an article on the McCauleys and don't want to publish incorrect information. I am the president of the Montgomery County historical Society in TN and have also been the Editor of their newsletter since 2008. I declined the nomination to be president if I had to give up the newsletter so I was allowed to do both. This is my second and last year as president. I really enjoy writing the newsletter and spend a month researching a family history then publish it. I try to share what I find or when I go to a cemetery and take pictures I share them too. Thanks in advance.
