In Riverside Cemetery. Hi John, I will be happy to go look for the photo if you will be so kind as to call the Ironwood City Courthouse (906-932-5050) and request the location of the grave and any others you wish a photo of here. You may email me if you wish or just leave me a message. Thanks, Lynn

You may "physically" only remove photos you posted. I suppose that is to prevent people from copying a photo, deleting yours, and then reposting it as theirs. I guess there are some folks who would do that. 😁
I did not notice that the photos were posted by different people. Did you go out and shoot the picture? Or was it from Ancestry.com or something? The second photo by "Howard" is identical. So either he had the same source as you did, or he saved your image (simple to do on iPad) and reposted it.
Why would anyone post an identical photos? Howard has only been on Find A Grave for 8 months, but I would think most folks would know better.
You have a couple of options for recourse:
1. You may contact Howard by clicking on his name (I would do a private email message as this is kind of a touchy situation.), give Emanuel's memorial #, politely explain that the photo is a duplicate, and you feel he should remove it. Try not to sound accusatory,
2. You may contact the person who created thr memorial and ask that he/she contact Howard about removing the dupe.
3. If no response is made, you may contact Find A Grave, and they can remove the dupe.
Hope this helps. 😊

Thanks for contributing the photo of Emanuel's gravestone. I am researching several Surfus family members in Iowa, have photographed Surfus stones at one cemetery, and am making links.
For some reason, your photo has posted twice for his stone (Find A Grave Memorial #70185216). I'm not sure why it happens, but I have found memorial pages I've created have a duplicate with the same number when I know I did not create two! Just a glitch in the computer system, I suppose.
So anyhow, maybe you want to remove one of them since they are identical.
Have a great week.

Yep, I just had the same issue, if you turn your camera when you take them, even though they re-orient on your device they are still turned, so you have to go into edit and rotate them on your computer before you upload.

Thanks for the info, I noted her burial location on the memorial and then transferred it to you for maintenance, so you can add your family info!

I see you answered my photo request, but only with a photo of Charles' grave and a photo of Mary. Does this mean that she is in an unmarked grave? I will so note that on her memorial if she's there at Mellen Cemetery, but unmarked.
Thanks and take care,
Thanks John but you will need to edit the photos they are in their sides

Hi John....yes we've corresponded before!! I am also from Thomas' son Michael & Sophia's line, through their son Francis Martin McLaughlin! Also check out Thomas' father, Michael McLaughlin (1785-1858) I was finally able to garner a photo of his marker this past April...I'd had the request for photo on Find A Grave for nearly a year!!

I am not related. I would consider transferring the care of her memorial to you if you would be interested.
