My my dad's mom's surname is Stratton and she has given me alot of the info for various Stratton's in our line....she gave me their birthdates but until she passes away i cant have the genealogical information that she has. Her rules lol. That's grandma for you tho. However I hope the two death records help.

P.S. You wouldn't happen to be related to the Stratton's would you? Just curious.

RE: Douglas' in Pleasant Grove Baptist Cem
Hi Rosemary,
I was wondering if you have found anything out. Maybe better if you could tell me how to get in touch with the people myself and not bother you. I love the offer, but I have been running into several other people also that are supposedly buried there and would like to confirm them. Also have a few that I suspect are there and would like to be able to find out. My Mother's maiden name is Douglas(s) and my grandfather's family was in Goodnight as early as 1860 (so far found) and in Mt Eden in the 1880's. The head of that family John was born in Shelby county and his father was Alfred who lived in Spencer. I don't have much on Alfred. John also had a brother Grandison that also married a Husband (as was John's first wife) and I haven't been able to find anything at all on him past 1880. I believe he died before the turn of the century but don't know if he lived long enough to have made the move to Mt Eden. His children did though, which really makes me think that he actually died soon after the 1880 census, probably of TB as the Husband sisters in 1879 and 1880. Grand and John were living in the same house in 1880 right after the wives died. John remarried that same year but there is no sign of Grand and was wondering, probably if he did die before the turn of the century that he would be buried here too... just as I wonder where the Husband sisters are, I know their deaths from the mortality schedule but not where they rest. This seems to be the place that this family went. Anyway. I don't want to take up too much of your time, so any clue how to contact the church records myself would be helpful. Thank you. BonnieT

RE: Sarah C. Ward
Found her parents name under the "family tree" app. It lists their children. Sarah was my great aunt and her sister Effie was my great grandmother. I'm not 100% on this. Just going by family tree app. Figured you could check more detailed. I'm new at this.
