At this time I wish to continue managing the memorials. Sorry I was so long in replying.
Any information or edits you have are welcome, just let me know.

His marker states he served in the Mexican war. I would have gotten other information either from someone sending it to me or from a cemetery list if I was using one. He allegedly served in the Missouri Home Guards 1861-62. I do not know if that eans he actually went off to war or was local.
I would like some information about an ancestor of my daughter-in-law's, Thomas Jefferson Mewhinney # 14020188. You state that he served the Mexican American war which was 1846-48. (He would have been 24 years old and not yet married). You state he also served in the Civil War 1861-1862 (he would have been 39 and his wife, Catherine Leonard had died May 1, 1861. They had three small children. He then married Samantha Jane Howard December 4, 1863) I made a poster on My Chart on Ancestry for her and now I am writing a little bio of each person on the chart. Thomas J. is one of them. If you have any more info on him or his father, it would be very much appreciated. Thanks.
