Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in Morris County in northern New Jersey. I do most of my family research in Hudson County, NJ and Orange and Sullivan counties in New York. I am happy to photograph headstones in any of the cemeteries listed in my profile, but before asking me please make sure that the person is actually buried there and, if possible, find out from the cemetery office the grave's location in the cemetery.

Regarding the memorials I have created here on findagrave, I will transfer management of a memorial to any direct descendant; I realize that there may be many descendants, but I will transfer to the first person who asks me. I think that's only fair.

I have a particular interest in the graves of the men who served in Company I of the 1st New York Engineers in the Civil War with my great great grandfather Charles Anderson. I am building a virtual cemetery of their sites as I find them. If you know of any of these men, please email me. Thanks!

RE: Regarding: Gladys Frantz
Thank you for your information. It's been an uphill struggle to try to tie together the descendants of Johann Jost Frantz (with Catharina Sinsebagh - many spellings), found living in Montgomery, Ulster County, New York by about 1765ish (boundary lines redrawn, now in Orange County). Many of them switched to an anglicized spelling of France. All the best.

Regarding: Gladys Frantz

I originally created this page and transferred it to you, but I don't remember the details. Please remind me. You uploaded photos, including a grave marker that reads "Gladys Hamilton Frantz". How can Frantz be her surname when she was married to Frank Richard Schick, who died only 7 months before her? Did she divorce Schick prior to his death and remarry? If so, who is her Frantz husband? The memorial doesn't say.

Thank you and all the best.

Schick Family Tree
Rick, I have been doing research on my mother in law Carol Schick's family tree. I have come across several times of Valentine and Annie Schick thinking they may be my husband's 3X great grandparents but I haven't been able to connect them completely. So I was hoping you could help me. My husband's 2x great grandfather was Philip Henry Schick who married Leon Cuny. However I don't have any info on his siblings. Philip Henry Schick had 3 sons, Valentine, William Henry and Charles Schick. I believe that your Valentine Schick is Philip Henry's father. Do you happen to have any info that may connect them? Philip Henry was born between 1873 and 1876 in New York. Please email me at Thank you. Joyce Jolliffe
