Your tombstone stands among the rest
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished marble stone

It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born

Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood and bone
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own

Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so

I wonder if you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come to visit you

Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

To change the location of the cemetery from Petersburg to Prince George, Prince George County requires clicking on the Edit link next to Burial: for the Memorial.

After doing that choose the button next to Burial information unknown at this time and click on Continue at the bottom. That will take you back to the Memorial for the person.

Again click on the Edit link next to Burial: for the Memorial. After doing that choose the button next to Cemetery Burial (included buried ashes).

That will clear the field and let you enter a new name and/or location for the cemetery.
Then click on Search for the cemetery at the bottom.

When Southlawn Memorial Park for Prince George, Prince George County, Virginia comes up click on the button next to the one that has the correct location and the highest number of burials listed after the name of the cemetery. At this time there are (3845) burials listed there.
