|Lesa Smith||Luerna Miller|
I think I have spoken to you before thur Ancestory Message board. I'm hoping you are the one that sent the following message to me.
Lesa do you know anything about Lewis, where he was born or his parents names, do you know of any pictures of him. I saw a census record years ago, that I can no longer find! he stated that he was Black Dutch. Our family believed that he might be of Indian decent! What would be black dutch, dark hair and eyes. Indian folks would say they were something else so they would not be known as Indians. I don't have to much on the Oliver side (Data) my grandmother Della was an Oliver, however I never met my grandmother or any of my family, my mother gave me and my sibling away when our dad killed hisself in 1946. I was just a baby about 8 months old. I would love to hear what you would share with me on your Oliver side. I'm up here near the Canadian border in upper Wa State.
i have started doing research again on my Oilver side. Lewis and Lurena are my Great Great Grandparents. If you would like to communicate with me in regards to our ancestors, I would love to hear from you.
|Red Heads Times Three||I'm confused about the memorial data for David, listing him as a person buried in National Cemetery|
Please post this in the edit section for the memorial.
From there I will be able to look into this.
Most likely it is an error that will be deleted.
I'm confused about the memorial data for David, listing him as a person buried in National Cemetery with a death date of 1864.. Is this David Wadsworth Wells? if so David was born 1783. To have served in the CW he would have been 78 years of age at enlistment of 1861 and passed away at the age of 81, which would be around the time he would have mustered out of the Army.
Can you please shed some light on this for me? I note the names of his wife and one other person on the headstone, would these folks been buried in the National plot also Plot 841. There is a David Wells buried at the Albany Cemetery plot 841 and served in the Ind Inf A31.
