Chancy is my husband's dad. died 2003 here in Okeene. Had 8 children lived on a farm raised cattle and wheat. Chancy was adopted by the same uncle as william, Patrick's brother William Haffey. We are taking a trip to Madison County, Raytown Mississippi to find Patrick C. Haffey's grave. I believe his parents Patrick B and Catherine Haffey are buried there also. They are on Findagrave but not Patrick C.Haffey. Those Irish people all have the same names. confussing.
Anna(Ward)Haffey Horn's parents are buried at Raytown, Miss. Thomas and Jane Ward.

Emma, Raymond, Robert, and Thurman Smithey
(I have a bad habit of hitting the wrong key, and poof ... an empty message! Sorry)

I have taken and posted photos for the above graves. For Emma, there was an artificial flower lying on her gravestone, so I took photos with and without. Let me know which one you'd like deleted. For Thurman, I just took photos because I was there for the others, even though you hadn't requested anything yet. If you don't want those photos up, I will delete them, but I thought you might like them until the permanent gravestone was put in, at least.

RE: Anna Haffey
I have some info not in stone. I was searching thru pictures and family containers (in my husbands posession) and I remember seeing something with Patrick and Catherine Haffey's name on it. So, I researched those names and found them in Raytown, Macon County, Mississippi
Find a grave. Then researching my husbands dad
Chancy Haffey I Know for sure his dad was Patrick Henry Haffey. On his death cert. that we just obtained from Kansas, it states his mother was Anna Ward and father was Patrick Haffey. Too many Patricks for me it gets so confusing. Anyway. I sent off for death record for Patrick and Catherine Haffey. We are taking a trip to Raytown, Mississippi next week to find the grave and go to their county library. I will let you know what I find. P&C lived in Mississipi, then Decator, Ill. (That is where Chancy Dad was born in 1881. Then they moved back to Raytown, Mississippi. Chancy's Uncle William Haffey adopted him and his brother William. What were those people thinking naming all the children same as parents, fathers and grandfathers? Later Sandra
