I've been working on my family histories, off and on, since about 1985 or so. I'd consulted FindaGrave a few times over the years, but just recently joined and am now working at creating memorials. Most of my activity, after Virginia and North Carolina, is in the Ohio Valley -- PA, OH, IN, KY, IL. I am researching: SWITZER/SWISHER, SCHERMERHORN/SKIMMERHORN, LUCAS, BAILEY, BIRD, BRIDGER, BRUMBACH, DUGGER, DAVENPORT, FERGUSON, HANNAH, HOTZENBELLA/HUTSINPILLER, BLACK, BLACKSTOCK, BONE, GRAY, DEVINE, GIVENS, ALLEN, EDWARDS, JONES, MCCONNELL, MCKINNIS, HARRIS, CARTER, ROGERS, SHIPLEY, POLLEY, LASLEY, CRAFT, WALTHER, & ZEIGLER.|
I currently manage a few memorials for aunts, uncles, cousins and others that I will happily transfer to direct descendants. Just ask.
Much of my effort is also directed toward preserving at least a digital image and record of markers that are all too often degraded or destroyed by the natural elements, and sadly, local morons.

|Alicelth||RE: Lucinda Carr|
You're welcome. But I was looking her up again in Ancestry. For her marriage certificate to Hamlin or Hamilton Carr on July 5, 1921, she put down that her date of birth was May 20, 1881 and that she was born in Brownstown. And it is right Lucinda as she stated her father was William Black and mother Mary Shipley. I can email it to you if you'd like. So now I'm not sure about that birth date that I sent - I'd be inclined to go with the marriage certificate myself. Can't seem to locate the marriage certificate for her and Erwin Fields unfortunately and his obituary in 1961 doesn't mention when they got married. The January 10, 1941 Seymour Tribune has an obituary for her in newspapers.com but it's so light I can't read it. But if you contact the Jackson county library in Seymour bet they'd be able to get a readable copy for you. Lucinda has been linked up with her first husband Samuel. Ancestry says they had several children so I need to do research on them - maybe later this week and weekend. Thanks for all you do on Find a Grave and have a great day!

|Mrs.Taylor (email me)||Nancy Skimmerhorn|
Nancy is my 4th biological great grandmother.
Nancy daughter Matilda Skimmerhorn is my 3rd biological great grandmother that married my 3rd biological great grandfather John Riall.
Please tranfor her info to my account, thank you.

I see you are a Switzer researcher. I am looking for proof that Mary Switzer who was married to John Maddy is the daughter of Lydia Lasley and Valentine Switzer. Any help would be appreciated.
Mary Switzer and John Maddy are my 3rd great grandparents.

No, she is not my relative. I was just going through checking to see if anyone had added pics to my graves. Sometimes, it clarifies info. Hand writing on old burial records is beautiful, but difficult to read.

Thank you for the offer, but I cannot take on this assignment. I have early stage Alzheimer's and have been racing to get facts posted where they belong before I am unable to do so.
|Susan R Perhala-Horry County Cemetery Registration||Diane Baker|
I see from your profile page and Diane Baker's profile page that you signed your message to her as cousin... and that you and Diane were in communication in April 2012. I've not been able to get in touch with her to handle any edits on findagrave since April.
Can you tell me if she is still an active contributor or if she's not working on this site anymore? I am not the only contributor trying to reach her for assistance. Maybe her computer blew up, she may be sick or can't find the time for the site.
I'd appreciate a reply from you. As you know, the research won't work if a contributor won't respond... and that's where I am... I'm stuck since it's a total no-no to duplicate a memorial. Thank you in advance. I hope to hear back from you. Susan Rogerson Perhala
can u help me out on the tree?

|Todd Whitesides||RE: Schermerhorn|
They're yours to manage. I'm glad they are under a descendant's care.
