Bio and Links
Born and raised in Selmer, McNairy County, Tennessee. Graduated from the University of Tennessee-Martin in 1981 with a B.S. in Business. Researching Curtis, Chambers, Cooke, Hargett, Harrell, McDearman, Pipkin in West TN and Reedy, Scribner/(Scrivner), Payne, Pierce, Moore in North Mississippi.

My interest in genealogy started as a child with a small handmade book of the Curtis side of the family dating to 1813 that my grandfather had, he left it to my father and I became hooked. While most of my memorials are of my family, any outside of that I will be glad to transfer. It is my firm viewpoint is family should be with family.

Currently (Aug/15 forward) working on cemeteries in Lauderdale County, Tennessee which is the home of my Curtis, Hargett, McDearman, Chambers, Pipkin lines. To date, have entered over 3500 memorials to this county from death certificates. (years 1914-1925) and newspapers obituaries.

I'm in the healthcare field as an Executive Director of a nursing facility for 35 years; currently in central Florida. Married for 32 years with two daughters and a granddaughter.

Aunt Kete is my husband's 3rd great aunt. Great photo that you added to the memorial. I also found your photo on ancestry. Thanks a lot.

Thank you Allen. I deleted the duplicate at Asbury. I am not sure how that could of happened. Mostly my memorials come from pictures and don't create memorials from lists. But sometimes the APP is a little wonky especially when you are off the beaten path. Anyhow, if there is no stone in the cemetery I probably wouldn't know there is a burial there. Therefore if my memorials don't have a picture then there is generally a mistake. (I have done few without photos for genealogical purposes - But they would have records in the bio) I am glad you caught that. Thank you for your work with Find-a-Grave. God Bless. Melissa.

James Earle Kirby
Disregard first message. James Earle Kirby's mother was Rosetta Walk Kirby, not Walker.
She is my great aunt.

RE: Crowder family at Mary's Chapel
Hi Allen

I noted that you have one of the baby boys of Marvin Monroe Crowder and Mattie Lucille Jordan listed as buried in the Crossroads Cemetery.

Where is that cemetery? I thought all of their infant children were buried in Mary's Chapel cemetary.
