|Catherine||Antone Ludwig Halsett/Halseth|
Hello, I have just discovered we have a duplicate memorial. My husband's grandmother (Josephine Halseth Anderson) is the sister of Antone Halseth. I made a memorial for him in 2010 using the name Halseth although his headstone does say Halsett. You created one in 2012 using the Halsett version. Most of our records show Halseth. Are you a descendant of his? If so, I would be interested in exchanging information. But for now, we need to figure out how to merge the info on these two records. You certainly have more links to his children so it might be the easiest to delete mine. I have more bio information, so would like you to add what history I have. What are your thoughts? Thanks so much for all of your work. Catherine
I'd like your permission to post Antone Ludwig Halsett's headstone photo on Ancestry.com, along with your source information. Let me know if this is acceptable to you. Thanks sooo much for posting all these photos!!

Hi. Sue Steenburg is correct that the Albers are not buried in Salem Cemetery. They were buried at the family home which was in what is now a field. Per documentation, markers existed in the 1970s but I recently spoke to the son of the present owner and he knew of no graves. So....
Sophia Lange (first wife) is not buried there. She died in Germany. (I have copy of a document written by Claus Albers stating this.) Rebecca NLN, second wife, is the one buried there. Her obit in the Warsaw Bulletin says 18 Mar 1803 - 16 Oct 1890.
I'm really interested to know from whom the "Böhling" maiden name information came. That was the surname of my gr-gr grandfather's first wife and they lived just across the field from the Albers family.

I may be able to take some pics for you at the Whiting Memorial Park, Ocean County, NJ. The cemetery is private and will only let me on if you call them and ask them for the plot number of the ancestors you would like pictures of. Once you get the plot number, let me know.

Sorry, cantankerous laptop. Carolyn, the reason you can get no pics of the stones for the Albers is because they are NOT buried at Salem, but at the Albers cemetery on the old farm. I have in my possession copies of documents I just received that states that JD and Sophia Albers are buried on this farm, that they are probably the only two people buried there. I was going to add them to the cemetery but there were already memorials made for them, even if they are erroneous. The death date for Sophia seems wrong on my copies, probably a misread of an old stone.

You are very welcome. The stones look to be hand made and it has no dates on it. I even called the cemetery person and they also do not show any dates. I did however look on line and found some information for him Victor.

Will be happy to transfer any (or all) memorials to you that you would like to have in Tabor Cemetery.
He is now linked to his parents!
