Photo Request for Dr. James R. Stovall
Dear Dr. Jim Ogburn,

In response to your request, a memorial for Dr. James R. Stovall has been previously created showing his resting place at Rose Hill Cemetery in Terrell, Texas in Kaufman County. This original memorial #36704286 highlights a biography and shows several family relationships.

Similarly, a memorial for his wife -- Mary Elizabeth "Eliza" Thigpen Stovall -- has also been previously created at the same cemetery. The original memorial for her is #19456694.

A photo of the couple's companion headstone has been successfully captured by another contributor, along with other photos at the gravesite and the cemetery gate.

Please be aware that duplicate memorials have been posted for them (#143582667 and #143582875), respectively. After extensive research in the USGS's GNIS website and in the city/county records, the cemetery named in these duplicate FAGM memorials does not exist in Dallas County. (I have also sent notes to the original and duplicate contributors communicating the same about the Stovalls' memorials. I am working on sending notes to the other contributors as well as the FAGM administrator to bring their attention to memorials noted in this non-existent cemetery.)

Warmest regards,

FindingOutLott Contributor 48513572

RE: William McLane
Dr. Ogburn,
I have just now received the invitation dated May, 2012 to attend my Great Grandfather, William McLane's dedication for his service in the Confederacy. I did visit Fincastle in the summer and noticed the nice marker next to his traditional one.

Thank you so much for the remembrance,
Deborah Hamilton
Fairfield, Texas
