Bio and Links
Bio Photo I like adding Find-A-Grave memorials so that others can find their loved ones. I do not mind that someone else adds my loved ones, as I would rather there be a memorial as opposed to not having one at all. I think every person deserves a memorial, and it doesn't matter when or who creates it.

FYI - I do not include obituaries straight from the newspaper or detailed obituaries.

RE: John B. Shepherrd
Remember to include your member number in the messages so they are easier to do. Other wise I need to go find you and grab it.

RE: John B. Shepherrd

I'm afraid I have no further information. If you think they may be your ancestors, I'd be happy to transfer them to you. Just send the request via the memorial page. Makes it easier.
Sorry I can't be of more help,

RE: Scullys
Wow! I have not been on this site for 3 years?
You can send the pictures to

I know the Fitzgerald's used to visit the Scully's in the summer a lot and that Emily Scully was Garrett Fitzgerald's daughter and Eliza (Barry) Fitzgerald. I wonder where Garret was buried. I know he died in Ft. Wallace, KS--can't find him there!
My aol account has too many filters --that is why it probably bounced back. Busy building on to our home so need to get back doing this hobby!
Thanks jan fitzgerald

RE: Growing up in Kansas
I was born and grew up in Manhattan. While growing up, my family also spent a lot of time at Council Grove Lake. I moved to Memphis in 1979 for a job, then met my husband. So, I have been in Memphis (actually Collierville) for many years - but Kansas holds a place in my heart. I visit my sister who still lives in Manhattan at least once a year.

Thank you for taking the time to take the pic. People like you help people me that are trying to put together our family's. The Knostman family came to the USA in 1836. William was 6 years old at the time when he came with 3 brothers and 1 sister with mother and father. They had a farm in Indiana, but his father died when he was 14. When they were older the brothers went to Ohio to learn a trade. He learned to be a clothier and moved to Kentucky and married an started his family. they then moved to Manhattan Kansas where he became a major retailer. 1 of his daughters ( Emma ) became my Great Grand mother.
I always like to tell a little story to help the people like understand some of the people that you take pic of.
