RE: Parker ancestry
Hi, I have 3 Sam Parkers as follows: (1) John Willard Parker had a son,Andrew Jackson Parker, whose youngest son was (1)Samuel E Parker and who also had a son (2) Sam E Parker, Jr. I also have (3)Sam J. Parker as another son of John Willard Parker (buried in Prospect, Loudon Co,TN.). These are my grandmother's cousins.
More info is available on all of these on my ancestry.com pages and in my Parker virtual cemetery here on Find-A-Grave.
Hope this helps.

I actually grew up in Sweetwater, TN and I remember yet another Sam Parker. He worked on our farm and his wife was a part-time caregiver to my grandmother. However, I do not recall him being any relation. Earlier census records show his family was probably from Miss.

Are you descended from Sam J. Parker or Andrew J. ?

Parker ancestry
Hi again,
I wanted to let you know that I have confirmation as to John Willard Parker's line. He was indeed the grandson of James and Tempy Johnson Parker thru their son Phillip. I found the memorial for one of his sons also, James Parker, if you are interested.
Thanks,
Edward

RE: Parker Family
Hi Cheryl,
It is always good to hear from another Parker.
I show John Willard Parker as the son of Philip Parker. I show Philip's parents as James and Tempy (Johnson) Parker but I am not 100% certain of this. The census records show James and Tempy having a son Philip but the birth dates are off by a couple of years which was not unusual for such records during that time. If this is correct then we are related. James and Tempy's son Micheal was my gg-grandfather. Michael also had a son named Philip who was my great-grandfather. Assuming all of the above is correct, we would be 4th cousins. I am sending you an invite to view my family tree on ancestry.com. I have several photos and docs there which you might find useful. If you have a tree there, I would be most interested in seeing it for comparison. Feel free to email me at ejf48@juno.com if you want to discuss the Parker family further.
Thanks,
Edward

Transfers
Hi Cheryl,
The transfers you requested have been done. I apologize for it taking so long. I have not been on findagrave very often lately. The deaths of my sons last July has kept my mind elsewhere. Take care and have a blessed day!

Christian McDonald
Cheryl - I transferred this memorial to you, but while doing so, I noticed the name on the headstone photo you posted. It shows the name as either Christian "G." or "C" McDonald instead of the Christian "B" McDonald I typed in that was on the list I originally got from MacPherson Presbyterian. I did not try to change it before transferring because I'm not sure which initial is correct. You will probably have more info on the correct name/initial.

RE: Memorials
Sorry - William and Julia Kate Faircloth memorials are not mine. They are owned by "The Grahams". You can request a transfer from them, but you may want to explain in the message that they are your direct line (great-grandparents).

RE: Johnson and McDonald Families
I have no problem with transferring them to you. The easiest way is for you to go into each memorial you want transferred, click on the "edit" tab in the upper right, then click on "Suggest a correction or provide additional information". Type a brief note requesting the transfer and hit "Send this message". This way, I get an email with links to each memorial, and your member number for transferring. It saves a lot of steps.

Another way is for you to just send me a list of the complete names. If you do this, it would probably be easier for you if you send it to my direct email address: mmcpherson2131@comcast.net

Anyway, I'll be happy to make the transfers.

RE: pics
Hey Cheryl, I encourage you to use the pics for your family tree. Please let me know if there are any more pics out there that you need. I didnt realize that there were alot of pics not taken at that cemetery. Since it is right down the road from my son's school it will be easy for me to get pictures. So let me know if i can help in any way. Denise
