Reuben Jacob Hiser.
First and foremost I would like to thank your for your service to our country! It is appreciated!!!

Today I was revisiting the memorial for my 2nd great grandfather and found your entry regarding his second marriage. I do wish you had contacted me prior to you posting as it appears that the information it contains is conflicting with the bio information that I posted earlier which might prove confusing to others including yourself.

Nancy Jane Mills (my second great grandmother) was married previously to a Payton Barnard and I do now have that fact noted on Reuben's memorial. I do have some documentation regarding the Mills/Payton marriage if you're interested. So far I have found no descendants that came from that marriage.

I don't know if you noticed my note on Reuben Hiser's memorial regarding his burial. I doubt that he was buried in the listed cemetery. I have called the funeral home that has all the available records for the cemetery and there is no record showing him there. I believe it is far more likely both of my 2nd great grandparents are possibly buried in Cass County or somewhere else near Archie, Missouri.

Are you somehow related to Reuben Hiser or either of his spouses? If so I certainly would like to exchange family information with you. If you would like to discuss any of this further please feel free to contact me directly and we'll go from there.

Hoping to hear from you soon
I remain,
