Hi, Kent,
I think that you're probably right. The number is hard to read on the photo of the tombstone but, when I searched for Hattie on Rootsweb, I found that she was Hattie Rosell Rinker, that she had married Lewis Hughell, and that they had a daughter named Cora Mabel Hughell in 1883 in Dysart, Iowa. A birthdate in 1878 would have made her a 5 year old mother (!) and a date of 1868 with an age of 15 years would make much more sense. I'll change the verbiage in the memorial.
