|I am well rooted in German Ridge, Perry Co. Indiana. My grandfather, Jacob Lauer, came from Germany to America in 1863. The family settled in German Ridge where he grew up. He married my grandmother, Mary Aichelmann, who also came to America in 1870 from Germany, settling at German Ridge in the early 1880's. All seven of the Lauer children were born and grew up there. My father is Clarence Lauer. Also my mother's great-grandfather, William Samuel Schwartz, and his wife, Wilhelmina, settled at German Ridge in the mid 1860's. My father moved the family to Indianapolis about 1940 where I was born and grew up. Now I live in Greenwood, Indiana. My brother and I became interested in genealogy in the spring of 2010, learning so much about our family, There was so much we did not know. I have had the privilege of reuniting with a cousin, and meeting cousins I did not know. What a WONDERFUL journey.|

Dianna, I noticed that you had left a flower on David Gray's page. If you are related, please check out the Delaware County, Indiana, Sheriff"s web page. They are searching for family/information on his grave site. Someone found his military marker on the side of the road and they would like to get it back to the correct place/family.

Always my pleasure to visit Jefferson Barracks.

I'm letting you know the reason for declining your edit as Admin knows that the note attached to declinations doesn't show to the requestor.
Per his obit, Hattie is his mother not his wife. Also Hattie was born in 1898 and would have been 35 years older than Joseph.

You are very welcome, glad I could take the pictures for you.
|Allen Helderman||RE: Himsel family|
I made the changes you requested for Johann Conrad Himsel # 121085345 & family. Please check it out.
I should be able to get the Himsel pix you requested in the next week or so. I have some of them, but with various problems such as bad lighting or half covered with flowers.
Are these your relatives?
