Catherine & George LEVERS
Jon,
I think we may be kin. I've been working on the LEVERS family for years and recently noticed that Louisa SWINTON & family were living with Washington LEVIS, wife Catherine, and baby Harriet--Louisa is a LEVERS. I have known that she--and her parents William and Christiana were in Carbon County in 1850, and their names are also recorded incorrectly as LEVIS -- they are listed as William and Ann.

William's occupation in 1850 & 60 was--Boat Builder. In 1860, he was back in the Phillipsburg/Easton area working in HAGGARTY's boat yard. During this period, most of the known sons worked with iron or were boat builders.

Helen V. wrote me years ago, and I've watched these two branches of the LEVERS sort of orbit around each other but never made the connection. Have you checked the 1860 Jackson County, Oregon census? There is a PA. born G.W. Levers, blacksmith there born around 1826?

The Wm and Christiana theory has a problem, in 1831, they had their 3 oldest kids (including Louisa) baptized together. GW should have been born, where would he have been?

Drop me a line

RE: John Gano.
I found dates for Lucy -- on http://www.mtamwell.org - they are a little messed up - born 1841 died 1828 - I think it meant 1928 - George and Mary, I don't see Mary, but will make a memorial for her and there is also a Conrad Gano, son of John -- I would be glad to transfer them to you, if you are related. Thanks so much for your help.

Thanks for information on Anna Etten. I checked the church records and you're correct so I've updated the memorial (90702580).

Robert Van Natta
Van Natta name
I see you are listed as 'sponsering' graves
associated with my family name.

I suppose this implies we are related in some
respect.

I maintain a website at
http://www.vannattabros.com/histlog16.html

which contains some information on my ancestry.

RE: 30798288, John Meyers
Jon, I transferred John's memorial to you. I do have a memorial for his wife under the surname of Meyers. I was surprised to see you also made one for her but under her maiden name. I will delete my memorial. Anne
