My name is Ruth. In 2006, I started working on the genealogy of my four grandparents: Channell-Coon and Nieweg-Blanton. In 2010, while mindlessly googling "Nieweg" for the umpteenth time, up popped my immigration ancestor, 2nd great grandfather Johann Christoph Nieweg, and subsequently, his wife, although the only information on the stones was "Grandpa Chris" and "Grandma Flora". I had never encountered the Find A Grave site before, and was shocked, but oh so pleased, to find the memorials of 19 Maries County Niewegs.|
My Find A Grave work to date primarily revolves around the Nieweg line and Maries County, Missouri. I would like to thank Wanda and gravefinder1 for all of the work with cemeteries in Maries County. The information and photos provided by them has been incredibly valuable to me. Moreover, Wanda continues to look up marriages and other Maries County records to help me unravel the mysteries.
I currently reside in Sun City West, Arizona (north west of Phoenix), but was born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas. After living in the greater Kansas City area for 26 years, I moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico for a job, and stayed 33 years before relocating to Sun City West, AZ in 2012.

Please send source for the EDIT request to add a middle name of "Jane" to this memorial. Because of the many Edit requests that are not sourced and are
wrong, new information to be added should be sourced. Please resubmit under the EDIT tab, using the "other" portion with the request and the source. Thank you, LP

|Ellen Bishop||Thanks for telling|
me Dorothy was in Custer Cemetery, sometimes I miss th second obit that says where the burial will be, I try to get them but I get busy doing new memorials. I informed the other person of her duplication, it is obvious she didn't search findagrave in a way that she would find the memorial in cyberspace, and that is of course a mistake.

Many of the headstones are extremely hard to read, even in person, due to striations in the white marble plus the etchings of letters have no letter darkening. Click on the photos a couple times to enlarge and they are easier to read.

They are buried in section G, site 983. Please put this information on both their Find A Grave memorials. Thanks

I put a note that shows the SS Death index has jan 1964. I haven't found a copy of the death certificate yet to include it says that.

I see the updated photo without the name Karl, so I deleted my photo. I've done my part. Anything to help the family.

I see nothing in that obit that mentions the name Ricords. And how did you come about her(my Jane) death date? In the Little family book It states that Jane Little, daughter of John Leeds Little and Mercy Herbert Little married a Kern. The Little book does not give her dates or carry her on to a page telling about her marriage and family. but what links I have on Find A Grave come from Ancestry.com. If you can link this Jane to another family and show dates, I will agree to change her death date. Carol
