Any Possible Info
Hello, my name is Karen (maiden name) Rafferty, and I grew up with Linda Mix Spence, who is named as the second wife of your uncle Gerald Spence. I was really affected by learning of her death years ago, but due to the sensitivity of the way they died, I never really felt comfortable asking her family about it. I have some very sketchy information about it, but I am wondering if you can lead me to where I can learn more. Linda was a good friend of mine once upon a time, and the older I get, the more I think about those things that have impacted my life and the way I think and feel because of them. Anything you can tell me or where to go to seek more info would be greatly appreciated....thank you. ps, I am on facebook, KarenRaffertySamchisenBoone

Gaines
I see where you said you were a descendant of James Gaines and Mary Pendleton. So am I. I descend from Rev. Henry Gaines (Thomas' brother) and Ann George. Do you know where Thomas and Margaret were buried?
The Gaines is interesting especially when you follow it back to Wales. Love the history there.
Thanks Janice Webb my email is dfwebb@prtcnet.com if you ever want to email me.

Lila Faye Matula
Thank you for obtaining the headstone of Lila Faye Butter Matula and including her marriage information. Lila was my 1st cousin 1x removed, whom I never met. Her mother, Nellie Thomas Butter was my grandfather's sister. If that is her photo on the headstone; sure would love to have her image. Bless you!

I was asked to leave one day because they were exhuming a body and they didn't think anyone should be around unless necessary.

I walked that whole place and some people visiting graves looked at me funny.
I tried going to the library and they didn't have as much as I had.

That's what I usually try to do is go around the whole cemetery and take pictures but didn't GPS any thing or chart them -

I was trying to do Rosenberg Cemetery - that's 5 put together - about like Wharton City Cemetery - records are a mess - I gave up - rows aren't straight and I wasn't sure I was doing it right.

Davis- Greenlawn those people won't even tell you if the person is buried there - very rude I had found a marker in Rosenberg and the Find A Grave had the lady in Davis-Greenlawn - I just refuse to go there anymore - they won't even give you a map or hint to the sections - terrible people

I went to Evergreen to take a picture and there were only 200 or so on Findagrave - I was shocked to see how big it was!
I took pictures for weeks and came home and put the ones I could read LOL - online.
So glad someone else is working on that huge cemetery.
The people are really nice there also. Very helpful or they were.

I haven't been outside much lately - but after Christmas I am going to try to find someone who is in charge of Faith Cemetery in Richmond - I took pictures and tried to document it but nobody seems to think it is still active - there was a fresh burial when I was there 2 yrs ago.
Would love to run into someone else documenting these cemeteries!

RE: Your Grandmother Skelton
Hello! So excited...you can find our family tree on Ancestry.com. Listed as Skelton/Martin with my name as the beginning of the tree. It is a public tree, so please check it out. All feedback is much appreciated. Yours also in Christ and have a blessed day.

RE: Your Grandmother Skelton
Hello cousin. I do not have a great deal of info on my grandmother, but what I do have you are welcome to view on my tree. I did not have a sister listed for her by the name Annie so this is very interesting to me as well. My grandparents both died in their early forties and I never knew them, so like you I am hunting for info. Have a blessed day and look forward to our journey together...Claudia Dobbins
