I have been doing my family genealogy for over 15 years. I do it off and on but thoughrougly enjoy it when I'm active with it. I've worked on both my and my wifes side for the future benefit of my future grandkids, on down. Plus there are numerous cousins who have helped me and been helped by me. This is a fantastic way to find relatives, pictures and things you never knew existed! I hope in the future I can help someone else.

I'll be transferring your great grandfather Joseph Silicani to you in a moment. However, the other people you refer to are not mine to transfer. You will have to look at each to see who created or currently manages them. That will be the person to contact for a transfer request.
I am your 3rd cousin, Thomas, I think we have emailed through Ancestry. My grandmother was Ida Silicani who was first cousins with your grandmother Juanita.
Just thought I would say Hello here!

Looking here, I wonder whether the grave marker you would want is O. I. Olson, since Oscar died at age 1:
I haven't found markers for the four Olsons buried in lot 1, or for Ole Knutson, buried in lot 2, though I did find one for Kari Knutson, also buried in lot 2.
This cemetery may be under the auspices of North Preston Lutheran church, which is still active and which is just a few miles away. Their contact information is here, if you'd like to ask them about their burial records:
Best of luck with your search!

I wanted to let you know that I stopped at the Odden Cemetery in Kingsbury County yesterday. I took a few other photographs, and looked for one for Oscar Olson, but I wasn't successful. I encourage you to leave your request active, since someone else might see something that I missed. But I did want you to know that I tried.

No, I'm not related. Researching for someone else.

Wakenda Creek is about 150 yds to the south and there is some type of swamp on the north side as well. So the cemtery rests on a fairly narrow piece of land. I can see how water could get up there if the Missouri River which is maybe 5 mules away floods which leads to the local creek flooding but I didn't see any real evidence that its happened recently. Mostly the cemetery is just overgrown and neglected. I've seen smaller ones like this but none this big. There may be several hundred gravestones that have simply fallen over and been lost to time. If you're ever in the area let me know and I'll take you out there. Bill
