|Joe Parker||RE: parker plot at oak grove cemetery|
Hi Charles, thanks for the message. There were only a handful of Parker cliques in Portsmouth in the 1800's, and it appears that your Parkers and mine were not related. I have seen your Parkers names before and I just have not been able to fit them in my tree at all. My great-great-grandfather was Ephraim Henry Parker, he was born in 1844 in Chowan county, north carolina and came to Portsmouth with his parents and siblings. I'm not totally sure about your Parkers, but they may have been in Virginia a lot longer than mine. If you find any evidence that your family also came from North Carolina, it would be worth discussing our findings and comparing. They could've been cousins or something like that, and possibly if we only knew one more generation past we could find a link. But as of right now, I have no evidence to suggest otherwise.
Best of luck,
