|Donna Hawkins||RE: Question|
No relation at all, sorry.
|Carmen Castle||Minnie Lou Key Van Winkle|
My husband Paul is the grandson of Georgia Nowlin, whose mother Sarah was a sister of Will Key. In the late 80's Georgia, my mother-in-law, Gloria Jean and my sister-in-law, Nancy traveled to Blytheville and visited Minnie. They took pictures in her home. One of the pictures showed a large picture on the wall of Nannie Grimes. Would you know what happened to that picture? I would love to have a jpg of that pic. Someone has a pic of a lady on their ancestry site that is supposed to be Nancy but when I traced it back, it is the wrong Nancy.
They also took pics of Minnie, and gravestones in the cemetery in Manila and Mt. Zion. Grandma Key took pictures of the Wortham, Grimes, Nowlin, and Key families. I don't know how the Wortham families tie in. I have a picture of Sarah Nowlin with Georgia and Sam Key that Minnie submitted to a local newspaper if you would like a copy. I would appreciate any help you can give. Carmen

hello, again, Carl,
HOw fabulous about the recording by Glenda Belle.
would love to have a copy or if that is not possible,please listen and relay the info...I am still trying to place Grandpa James A McMullin to
parents in Kentucky. I am sure your mom would have known of his parents and or any siblings as he was her Grandpa. and I have been told by Jeanine that Glenda Belle was "sort of the historian of the family"..So she probably left records that would give us some great info..
Where is Carlene's home here in Maumelle?? Be happy to connect with her son if I have an address or
I haven't talked to Virginia Ann(she goes by Ginger)
for a while, but will contact her and let her know that I have linked up with you. She is a really sweet lady.
keep me posted.

so good to hear from you. the aunt ella you mentioned must be another of your aunts. The aunt
ella that was your grandmothers younger sister married Robert Kelly Perry in 1924 and do not believe she ever remarried when he died. but I could be wrong about a second marriage. My mom is still alive, but is 95 and hard to remember much about my dad's family.
Virginia Ann and I went over and talked to your sister, Carlene--a bout 2 years ago..my time flies..
carlene was still at a coffee shop in sherwood, ar.
I now live in Maumelle, but think I heard that Carlene has moved?? I am in contact with Jessica Shelby also--think she told me that. anyway would love to stay in contact and share our info. I am on Ancestry.com...and think I sent you a note from that. please go on my mcmullin tree and see if all my info is correct... mary

One of the local funeral homes told me he was there. My wife and I were visoting the area because her sister used to live in Gosnell and we decided to hit a few cemeteries there. I found two famous graves in the area while we were there.
