Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a 42 year old Montana native and love to spend my free time working on genealogy and writing about Montana related matter. I especially love working on Ancestry.com and putting information together and meeting others who share common interests. It is the best form of treasure hunting there is! I am related to the Ponds, Kirkpatricks, Vances, Coffins, Slaters, Kepplers, and many other Montana Pioneer families. If there is anything I can provide you with or if you need assistance with cemetery images, just ask! I spend alot of time visiting these sites and can take a photo for you! Please contact me at glendalecrazy@aol.com

Dear Ancestor,
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and the date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who cares
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.

Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

Robert Kirkpatrick
Just to let you know that I came across the memorial for Robert Kirkpatrick #139979918, the older brother of James Kirkpatrick (1848-1935). He was linked to their mother, Mary Abigail Martin Kirkpatrick Mann (1816-1897). Still haven't found further info on their father, James Kirkpatrick (b.1823).

RE: William Potts Spurr
Hi again, Jacoby. I sent a reply to you at your gmail account on Aug. 7, but I will send it again in case you didn't receive it. I will also attach four pages of transcriptions from the Spurr Family Bible which I found online. Unfortunately, I have no Spurr family photos except one of my grandmother's uncle, Richard James Spurr, who was a nephew of William Potts Spurr. I would truly love to help you, but I have no more information. Regards, Diane Treat

RE: Maj. Gooding Packard
Hi Jacoby. No I am not a relative, but simply a military researcher for a possible upcoming manuscript and hopefully a future book. I am interested in the Mexican Border conflict of 1916 and happened to run across Maj. Packard as a participant in that pre-WW1 conflict. What I wrote in his bio is all that I know about him, sorry to say, and just wanted to make sure that he got his just due and recognition as a US Army veteran who served the great country and help keep us free.

A Marine Daughter
RE: Dorothy
If that's the one I'm thinking of, she was shot in Phil & Tim's Bar. And, I think she died later in Great Falls, but I wouldn't swear to it.

JAC IS MY GREAT GRANDFATHER. I REMEMBER SEEING HIS HEADSTONE WHEN I WAS A LITTLE GIRL. THE LISTING OF ALL HIS CHILDREN IS MUCH APPRECIATED. I DIDN'T KNOW I HAD SO MANY RELATIVES!

THANK YOU AGAIN,

JOY ROSS

RE: Robert Roy Taylor
Got your message on Ancestry and gave phone number to my sister Pat who lives in Austin. I thought she had all these materials. Don't know how they got misplaced. She will call tomorrow since it is so late. Tracy Taylor

RE: Lee Grassley Jr.
I double checked my photos and I didn't find a photo for Martha Grassley. I have photographed the entire cemetery and if she is buried there, she doesn't have a tombstone that I could find. I would assume she would be buried right next to him, so I doubt I would have missed it if she had one. Sorry!
I will get to the cemetery this week and take a better photograph for you.

RE: Lee Grassley Jr.
Hi,
Yes, his birth and death dates could be wrong on my memorial. It looks like it says Feb. 15, 19?? - Oct. 11, 199?. I thought it was 1927-1993, but those numbers look very similar to 1923-1998. Go ahead and add the photo and I will change the dates. I'm sorry I didn't clean the grass off his tombstone - I probably took a million photos that day and after a while I got pooped! All the tombstones are either covered with grass or grass clippings and I usually clean them off. I'm sorry I missed his..... Next time I am at the cemetery, I will take another clearer photo.
Sincerely,
Kathy
