William Tatum
RE: Tatum name
No, I fulfilled a request years ago from Naomi McFadden, who lives in Africa. I would send her an email and I am sure that she will help you. Her name appears as the creator of the memorial.

RE: Tatum name
Hi Gale,

My Tatum family came from North Carolina and Bethel Springs Tennessee. My great grandfather, W S F(Willie Sion FRanklin) TATUM moved to Hattiesburg Mississippi in the 1890's. I have done work in many of the cemeteries in the Laurel Mississippi area in years past.I was a funeral director in Hattiesburg when I was in high school and college at Southern Mississippi.

I spend much of my time there and here in El Macero California where I have lived for fifty years. I am not aware of any of the Tatum family in Newton County.

Beulah Smedley Sanders Haralson
Beulah Smedley married first Stephen Sanders in Putnam Co., GA, on 20 Aug 1826 (I have a copy of their marriage record)and they had Neoma Samantha in 1827, John Thomas in 1830, Lucy Ann in 1832 and James Milledge in 1834 before Stephen died in 1837. Neoma Samantha and husband William A. Waller are buried next to her mother Beulah Smedley Sanders Haralson in Wehadkee Bap Ch Cemetery. They were my gg grandparents. Their daughter Lena J. Waller married Dr. Hiram Fairfield Coleman (my g grandparents). Their daughter Beulah Coleman married Jessie Riley Loudermilk and were my mother's parents. I also have records on Beulah's second marriage to Jesse Haralson, Sr., and their children.
