Thank you so very much to any contributor that adds information, corrections, etc to any of the memorials we manage or create.|
PLEASE make ALL corrections and transfer requests via the edit tab on the memorial.
Please understand that we will NOT link to a Burial Unknown. We gladly will link when the actual grave site is located.
Per the Find A Grave guidelines Find a Grave's mission is to find, record and present final disposition information from around the world as a virtual cemetery experience.
Memorial contributions to Find A Grave should fulfill that mission - registration of the final disposition.
Location of body unknown should only be used for recent deaths where the disposition is not yet known. Final disposition should be determined and updated within 30 days. Using "Non-Cemetery Burial" for those that died during a battle/war is the same as a Burial Unknown unless you have information on the final actual disposition of the body and include that information on the memorial.
Per Find A Grave guidelines memorials should never be made until you know where an individual is buried or what the actual disposition of the body was. Find A Grave isn't a genealogy site for linking all known members of a family together. It's a place where people can come to FIND a GRAVE. So creating memorials that don't accomplish that goal really kind of defeats the purpose of the site.
We are photo volunteers. When we take a photo of a final resting place we do so out of a sense of caring and gratitude to those who have gone before us. When we create a memorial for an individual it is to pay homage to the life of that person. There is no disrespect intended.
We have a difficult time getting to those cemeteries where our loved ones are buried. We find great comfort in at least being able to visit those we love and cherish even if it is virtual on the internet. We hope to be able to provide the same to others.
If any of our memorials offend or simply cause you discomfort or disquiet (everyone grieves and believes differently), please contact us.

We have a fairly liberal transfer policy. We just ask that if you can no longer maintain the memorial that you send it back or transfer to someone who has the time.
We work hard to be as accurate as possible, but we are only human. If you see and error, a duplicate, etc. please send us a friendly note and we will get it taken care of as quickly as possible. Please keep in mind that life can get in the way sometimes and it may take a while to take care of an issue. Feel free to message us again if you think we may have missed it or it was lost.
If you would like originals of any of the photos we have posted here at Find A Grave please email us and let us know. If we have them and can find them we would be happy to share.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I do apologize for the duplicate.

Thanks for your reply. I understand your reasoning and I am fine with that. Even published obituaries (and headstones) sometimes have incorrect/different information so it is hard to tell what is correct.
I wasn't aware they didn't allow images of the obituaries. It is strange that they allow 'other' when you upload an image. I have uploaded lots of obits so I probably won't transcribe them. That would take forever. That is a shame they would remove them as I think people doing research would find them very useful and isn't that what this site is all about?
That explains why I have seen comments that the obit was provided by so and so, but there is not obit attached.
Memorial# 94652003 und Memorial# 94652004 lassen keine update zu. Ich kann weder die Eheleute noch ihre Kinder verlinken. Auch kann ich keine Geburtsdaten und Namen zufügen. Warum nicht ? Gruß Aenne

Hello! I see you're the one who added this memorial. I would love to talk to you about Mattie and know if you are even related. I would love to hear back from you thanks so much!

Thank you for transferring this memorial. I am enjoying getting to know my past relatives through Find a Grave and hope my work will be of interest to those who come behind me.

Hi Tammy, I just stumbled across your messages from last year and don't remember seeing (or answering) them before. JD remains a mystery. Mom mom, who passed away February 21, 2015 only heard him referred to as JD. I plan to stop in Ardmore on one of my trips to Oklahoma and look up the land records for the lots he owned in Tussy. Mom's estate still has a very small fractional interest in mineral rights so I can at least identify the property. Maybe he signed them other than JD. Sorry I am so long in responding. I don't think I even knew Find A Grave had a message system! Jim

Hi: I just suggested edits to memorials # 94579454 and 94579455. The surname given is spelled "Liebrock" but his obituary spells his surname as "Leibrock" (available here: http://elkader.advantage-preservation.com/Viewer/?key=leibrock&by=1954&pbd=01/01/1954-12/31/1954&fn=scan_19530514_19551103_0229a&page=1&serppageno=1)

Thank you so much for adding it for me. I hope you have a blessed and prosperous new year!
