If anyone has anything to add to a memorial I've made PLEASE let me know and I will be glad to add the information! I Love to link their parents to each memorial or have their obituary to add.|
I'm interested about who my ancestors were and how they may have influenced who I am today. I am also researching my husbands ancestors and am learning as much as I can to pass on to our daughter. It's also fascinating to learn about the many different church backgrounds they all have had. Still searching in PA!!
I found this through a friend:
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.
Walter Butler Palmer

You can always write Find A Grave and tell them to merge them together. I do if it is my relative and I have all the links in. Thats your call, just thought you might want to know if you didn't. Have a good evening
|K Murphy||RE: Waltersdorff / Von Waltersdorff|
Johann Daniel Von Waltersdorff was born in Germany and arrived in Baltimore Maryland. His son Noah changed the Von to Van Waltersdorff. My grandmother continued to use Van Waltersdorff as her maiden name. I have found in my research that most of the Von/Van Waltersdorff's just used Waltersdorff.
Thanks for understanding and deleting your memorials. I'm sure you're right that they will be duplicated again. Have a great one as well!

|Saralyn McAfee Smith||Thank You!|
Thank you for the sweet message you left on my son Robbie's memorial. (My daughter's name is Laura, too!)

We all make those kinds of boo-boo's, Laura. Don't let it bother you; just keep up the good work!
Hi I deleted my memorial for Dorothy Baker.
Thanks for telling me what happened, I am very diligent for checking to make sure I don't make duplicates.
You did a nice job.

Thanks for the obit. Find A Grave removes obits that are posted to the picture section so I am afraid of it disappearing without either one of us knowing. I typed it out and put it on her memorial. Go ahead and remove the pic.
Thanks for your help in making her memorial more complete.
