|tootz||Mariah (Maria) Gardner Cox # 132316545|
I am very distantly related to this line and researching. I saw your note on this memorial and I'm wondering the same thing myself, was her name Mariah or Maria? I have sent a message to the memorial creator, Carl and asked him if there was a headstone for her and if so what name was on it? Her parents 1860 census shows her as Maria and I just found her death document on ancestry.com and it shows her as Maria Gardner Cox and she was married to Joseph Cox. Her older sister Lydia Catherine Gardner (findagrave memorial #34980837) also married a man named Nelson Cox (findagrave memorial #34980550) who also from Cabell County, West Virginia. Do you possibly know if Nelson and Joseph Cox were related and if so how or know/have anymore info on the Cox family from West Virginia you'd be willing to share? I'm wondering if Nelson and Joseph were 2 brothers who married 2 sisters? Let me know what you think of all this, okay? I look forward to hearing back from you.

No problem. So glad I could help. I was out looking for some of mine and took the lists with me. What is kind of funny is that I now live 450 miles from here. I have just been in for last week. Back to Michigan tomorrow but more graves on the way.LOL.

I believe you are correct. I also got my info from wvculture.org The Minnie Webb Smith I had was from Jackson Co and her birth and marriage date was not good. But she married a Leondor Smith. Anyway I have fixed the maiden name. The children I have listed are they correct?>

You're very welcome, glad I could help. The Mountain View records didn't indicate a burial plot so I suspected he wasn't there. The MV memorial has been deleted.

Glad to be able to help, especially since there wasn't a headstone!

Burial record is online at http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~ohcdrt/clecems/images/al_01_048.jpg
He was 36 at the time of his death in 1918. I'll try to find his gravesite for you.

The reason you can't make a photo request is because you have already made one and its waiting to be done we have had snow in Pueblo this week and that's probably why there is a backlog on photo requests at Roselawn
