Bio and Links
Bio Photo There is only one tragedy worse than the burial of a fallen hero in an unknown grave. Some heroes are known at the time of interment, but due to erosion and neglect, become unknown at a later date. We cannot permit this to occur.

Legible headstones are best. Next best are precise GPS coordinates, taken at the center of the grave.

RE: Daniel and Mary Coho
Thank you for replying so quickly. I am also in touch with John Coho who is probably a distant cousin. When we have all our "ducks in a row" I will gladly share our info.

Daniel and Mary Coho
Yesterday I was researching the Coho family in Hollidaysburg Blair County Genealogical Society and came across your book on "The Descendants of Daniel Coho and Mary Cutter." On Page 167 you list the children of Daniel and Mary (swoveland). No. x is Mary who I believe to be my great great grandmother. She married Henry Miller and had a daughter Nancy Jane who had a son William before she married. Thus his last name remained Miller. He was my grandfather. Your book states Mary Coho was born about 1850, however, a 1880 shows her birth as about 1831. Any further info would be appreciated.

With reference to this post, an Adam Myers was mortally wounded at the battle of Antietam while serving with Co. C, 130th Pennsylvania Infantry, but his compiled military service records do not contain his actual date of death. Apparently you could find no information on this Adam Myers' regiment? The 130th Adam Myers was from Cheltenham, Montgomery County.

Thank you. at that location today and took a picture of the 2 stones because they looked like the picture that was posted by you. I can find them now. I really appreciate your help. How are you related to me. My grandfather and grandmother were John and Maude Coho from Lakemont.

Have you been able to locate the grave for Daniel Coho at Fairview cemetery? I would be his great, great, great grandson. My name is John A Coho Jr. My wife and I have spent a lot of time searching there with no luck. Any help would be appreciated. Even if I had the map of the cemetery showing the sections and lots would help. Thank you

You have made a duplicate memorial for John S Orr at the Oak Hill Cemetery. I already have an existing memorial for him with his headstone picture. I see you listed his Civil War info and I would be glad to add that to the existing memorial if you would consider deleting your duplicate. Thank you for the consideration. sheila

Headstone photo request
Many thanks for fulfilling my photo request for James E. McMurtrie, the 2nd great grandfather of one of the ladies in our DUVCW Tent 86 in the Dept. of CA/NV. In this way you have helped us honor one of our Civil War ancestors.
