Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in California but I received my maiden name, Byard, from a mysterious mariner named Robert Byard who appeared in Salem, Massachusetts in 1763. I started looking for him in 1999 and of course got addicted to (and fell in love with) genealogy. So, here I am, still plodding away. Happily. I'm also putting all my ancestors on, hoping they'll be there long after I'm gone.

Jan you are so funny. I was thinking I might be having comprehension problems. No worries, we are only human and we make mistakes. Take care.

Hi Jan. I'm not sure I am understanding what you are sending me. Both links you sent to me I already have on the memorial and both of them indicate he died in Bolinas - not San Rafael. What am I missing?

Hugh Ingram
Hi Jan how are you? You sent an edit to change POD from Bolinas to San Rafael. Ingram's death notice says he died in Bolinas. I have that posted on the memorial. Do you have other information?

Do you know if Rachel ever had a headstone?

RE: The Maximus Gisler photos
Ok to use photos. My mother in law is Gertrude M Hall - maiden name Gisler, from Camarillo, Ca. She lives near us, in Stanwood, Wa.

RE: Wrong photo is shown
I am no longer the administrator of the David A Chever memorial, nor did I add the incorrect photograph. You might wish to contact BlueMoKitty for any corrections.

Joseph Sprague
Hi, Jan,

I can't tell you why he went by Sprague instead of Stearns. I do remember that I got the info from an edition of the Essex Antiquarian. The presumption is that he preferred to go by Sprague.

Colwell update
Thanks for the Anna Davis-Colwell update. She is my gggg-grandmother, but I have yet to update their memorials, as I am slowly working through all family. Thanks!
