|I have been interested in cemeteries since a small child. My mother told me that my brother and I loved to go to the cemetery and look at the gravestones, even when we were both too young to read them ourselves.|
Several decades later my interest in and devotion to family history has grown into a lifelong pursuit, if not my life's work.

Thank you for the information on the burial site for Frances Meador. I have corrected her page and have cited you as providing this information.

OK Craig, I will change it as soon as possible. But it may be a week or two. Will have to go to the library to do it. Did you notice Susan C. Williams' link with her parents?

You are welcome, I am in hopes that I provided some new information. If you would like to have me transfer any family memorials to you just request through the edit button of the memorial and I will be happy to do so. Eileen

Be patient with me and I will check Victor P. Meador's four vols. for her as I have all four.

You know the Wagoners and Meadors were both large families with many of the same given names. Last year when you contacted me in regard to Nancy C. (Wagoner) Meador, I tried to alert you that she was not our ancestress. The dates are wrong and her child is not listed in our original family record. I don't know who she was and frankly had forgotten about her or an attempt to research her until you contacted me now. So, I can not add anything new in regard to her and have asked her memorial contributor to remove those links.

That is a good idea. I never thought to say anything to him.

No, I am sure she is not our ancestress but I am unable to identify her or her child, Arthusha L. Meador 1856-1858, buried there with her. The dates I have for our Nancy Wagoner Meador came from the Jonas Meador family record as posted at Jonas Meador's Find A Grave memorial. She died 25 Sep 1851 in Johnson County, Missouri. This record was kept in Granddad Flemin Meador's tin Union Leader plug tobacco box along with the letters from California written by Edmond Monroe Meador's daughter. Dewey Lee's widow, Iva Bell, gave all of this to Dad after Dewey passed. You know the Meadors were a big family and we should make the effort to identify her.

Nice to hear from you. Aunt Nan was buried by Flemin Eli at Eutaw because she always said he was all alone there.
|Michael Meador||RE: Jobe Meador Cemetery Location|
I have used the satellite coordinates for the Jobe Meador Cem. I don't have a GPS so this is as close as I can come at the time being. I used the coordinates that you sent me from Google and it is no-where near the cem. According to where I placed it on the map, the coordinates should be 36.0570530 -86.102680 this is much closer if not exact as to the location of the cem. I will try to get there soon and do better.
