|I fell in love with ancestry while my grandmother (born in 1900) told me stories of early pioneer life in Oklahoma when it was known as Indian Territory. Her family were 89ers and I thought it fascinating that she lived to see covered wagons to seeing the first man land on the moon. I've been hooked ever since. |
I've done a lot of work on the Sheridans, Berglans & Hardesty's trying to find and link family members on F.A.G.
I absolutely will transfer memorials I manage if you have a closer connection to them than I. I can't abide the "stingy" attitude of those that create hundreds of memorials but won't give up a memorial that they have absolutely no connection to just to maintain their numbers. There's my two cents. :)

|Melody Addington||RE: Joseph Stull|
You are welcome I love doing this.
|Donna Standish - Ashbery||Rosann Eason|
I believe the DOD for Rosann is actually 1893 and not 1883 as listed. Looking at the headstone its easy to see how anyone would think it was one or the other but I have found an 1892 Census where she is clearly alive and living with or next to her Grandson Alvin Roy Larkin. Lists her age as 73 which would be exactly right also.
Thanks for all your hard work!!!

You are very welcome! Glad I was able to help.
|Caylon Berglan||Paul Berglan update|
Thank you for updating the Paul Berglan memorial.
Your help is appreciated.

I have made the links you requested. If this person is a relative of yours please send me a SAC via the edit button stating your relationship and asking for tranny. I am most happy to hand folks over to their relatives. I loved your two cent stingy comment. But I also think only to the 4th grand parent is not enough. Not any matter have far out related if someone has done the work on family and know about them they care enough to take good care of the memorial.

This is one of those cases where the site is begging for some alternate way to represent the names, but there isn't one. I have listed her different married names under the bio section. If there was a marker it would very likely list her as Annie Evans, but you are correct, there is no marker.

You sent through an edit for her and want to change the last name. I am going to decline the edit but I wanted to explain in a bit more detail. You wanted to concatenate the surnames of all her husbands in the surname field, if you read up on the Find A Grave Frequently Asked Questions that is not allowed. I think the main reason for that prohibition is that it makes it virtually impossible to find people by surname when you start monkeying around with the surnames like that, and I'm sure you will agree that is a bad thing. I have followed the Find A Grave guidelines by making a reference to each of her married names in the bio section, since I don't know any of the spouses first names I have just referred to them as Mr Evans, Mr Vandyke and Mr Eason. She is listed on the cemetery website and the California Death Index as Annie Eason so I am going to leave it at that. I am curious to see what the marker says, however, so if there is not currently a photo request for her I am going to put one out.

Thank you for editing the memorial for Robert Sheridan. If this is a relative, I will be happy to honor your request for transfer. Don't you just love the new edit system on Find A Grave! I was always fearful of making an error when I did edit requests on the old system thus went back to the person and requested they go back and review the site to make sure edits were correctly done by me. Now I wish they would offer spell check on these messages! Thanks for your contribution to Find A Grave.

The death certificates noted on the Sheridan memorials can be viewed at the Missouri Secretary of State's website. They have online copies of all MO deaths beginning in 1910.

So far, I had only checked NewYorkLady's unknown burials A-K, I still have to do L-Z and put the unknowns in the VC. About 300 of them could be located and placed into a correct cemetery so far. Check the VC occationally as more will have to be added, and hopefully can be corrected. Thanks for your offer to help.
