Hi there Judith,
Did the best I could with this request today...stone is in very poor shape as far as readability goes. Was able to find it using transcription, and I spent a few minutes studying in front of it and was able to pick out his name and 1808.

RE: Gero's in Morningside Cemetery, Malone, NY
Hi, Judith, I'm so sorry for the delay in getting back to you! I have not had a chance to get to the Morningside Cemetery yet or any cemeteries. We have had a very serious family health issue and all our attention is on that right now. Lots of time spent at hospitals, travelling for care, and helping with grandchildren. If I go to Malone without any time constraints, I'll try to find Joe at the cemetery and see if he can look up the Gero burial cards for that stone in Section D. Take care, Laurie

RE: Gero's in Morningside Cemetery, Malone, NY
Hi, Judy, the cemetery usually has the caretaker and his crew on the grounds during the day...I'm not sure when they start in the morning but they finish around 4pm. Rick, the caretaker, is very helpful and has helped me at the office with burial records. Please know that the cemetery and the workers, along with Rick, is not open in the winter. They work as long as they can into the Fall season and open up in the Spring in time to get ready for Memorial Day (usually late April/early May). I hope this helps just in case you were planning on visiting the area in inclement weather. Take care, Laurie

Hi, I found the Gero stone today in one of the oldest parts of this very large cemetery. I thought the inscriptions would show up when I took a close up; however, they did not turn out very well (it is quite shaded by trees in this section as well). I checked closely and could not find a stone for Sarah but I am going to add the photo of the Gero stone for her page. If you don't want it there, go ahead and remove it. There were several smaller footstones, I could only make out "James" on one and "Father" on the other.
