Me Again
I should add (assuming you don't already know) that the graves for David and Hulda are in the round section towards the center right as you enter the cemetery.

David Peterson
Deb,
Thank you so much for the request. It's always nice knowing that I'm fulfilling for family members.
Along with the pictures for David Peterson I have also added pictures to Hulda Peterson's Memorial Page.
I hope I did well and that you enjoy all of the photographs.

Regards
DDM

RE: Thomas D McDonough
Hi Deb...
Sorry its taken me so long to get back to you. Work and everyone else wanted a piece of my time.

I now have photos of Sophie's and William J.'s and Elva's and William M.'s Forster's niches. They are at the Chapel of Memories Columbarium. I would use the second picture showing the building when you select the cemetery photo. Chapel of Memories is a separate building, one street over and up the hill, from Chapel of the Chimes. Chapel of the Chimes owns it and has the records. It was called the Oakland Crematorium, back in the early days.

Please let me know when the memorials have been created as I do not monitor Chapel of the Chimes / Memories' request for photos.

My normal e-mail is n6spy13@att.net. My father didn't get many of the yearbooks from Albany High. Back in those days, he couldn't afford them. His annual salary was only $1625 when he started in 1937.

I had a choice of going to Albany or El Cerrito Highs. Since he taught there, I went to El Cerrito. You mentioned Larry Hughes. He had my father as a teacher and then I met him when he subsituted at Portola Jr. High for my music teacher.

My father's name was Robert Hughes. He taught there 1937 to 1974.

The reason I know about Chapel of the Chimes for your family is that I ran the various names and found Sophie's obit and that she was being inurned there. I don't do this on everyone, just those who have connections to the Albany / El Cerrito area.

I will also be going to Chapel of the Chimes in Oakland on Saturday. I believe that William J. (Sr.) and Sophie Forster are there and I'll take their photos.

Since you mentioned Albany, did you go to Albany High? My father taught Auto Shop and Metal Shop there for 37 years.

You are welcome. Unfortunately, the daughter's name is not on the mounment, but she is buried with her father. This means that the parents are side by side and she is on the father's side.

You are very welcome. You did notice the caption I put on the photos regarding their daughter.
