I am a native Texan who started family research in the sixties shortly after graduation from the University of Texas at Austin. I am now retired from a career as a computer technicion. Along the way I became a Certified Computer Programmer and a Certified Genealogist. My Father was born in Scotland and my Mother whose ancestor's were mostly of Scottish descent started arriving in the colonies in the 1600's. They came to PA, VA, NC, & SC. At least seven ancestors fought in the Revolution. Five fought in the Civil War. Today I live in Georgetown, TX with my wife of 55 years and enjoy gardening, family socials and my grandchildren.|

May 4, 1911, at her home, Folsom, Ga., Mrs Emeline Adams, entered into that rest, as we most steadfastly believe, "which remaineth to the people of God." A suffer for ten years or more, the greater part of which she was confined to her bed. Sister Adams was a member of the Cedar Creek Baptist Church, loyal to the truth as we hold it, a lover of the Book, rejoicing in the privileges of worship, but now her privileges is done, and she has entered into the country from which none return. "Country far from mortal sight" the doubt of the skeptic, yet the reality of which none can successfully deny.
Sister Adams was the mother of ten children, eight of whom survive her, viz. W. L. Adams, Joshua, Texas, N. H. Adams, Shawnee, Okla.; J. F. Adams, Cass Station, Ga.; J. V. Adams, Calhoun, Ga.; Mrs. Mollie Lewis, Fairmount, Ga. ; Misses Lydie and Hannah , Folsom, Ga. A larger number of grand and great grand children also survive her. Two of her sons are deacons of Baptists Churches and one grandson a Baptist minister.
To those thus bereft of their loved ones, we extend sincere sympathy. The 81 years our Lord gave her to you was a long time for earthly service. May His Grace sustain, His presence cheer, until all grief is hushed in the glad greeting of the new born day.

While updating the Breckenridge Cemetery, I photographed 3 tombstones in the Ferguson Family Plot & added them to the memorials for Clarence #86251479, Fred #110952474, & Ruby #110952223. I also requested parental links for Clarence. If the photos don't meet with your approval, please let me know so that I can delete them. Have a blessed day.

Death Again Among Us
Wednesday, the 19th, inst., on a little mound 4 miles near south-east of Calhoun, many friends assembled to witness the burial of the wife of beloved brother Rolly S. Abbott. Sister Sarah Ellen Abbott's health seemed about as good on Saturday as usual. On Monday, in the afternoon, she is in silent death. The cause of Sister Sarah Ellens death seemed to be hemmorage of the lungs. She was near 35 years of age, and leaves in her husband's care 5 tender children. She was the daughter of Eld. A. Adams, whose body now lies silent in the graveyard, near Bethlehem Baptist Church, of which church years gone by, he was the beloved and devoted pastor. But why should the friends sorrow to bury Sister Sarah Ellen Abbott, whose pious life had been so noted for about 20 years of her brief life? Brother R.S. Abbott lose a good affectionate wife, who was ever appreciative of his manifest kindness, those children's tender and watchful mother. A mother is called to witness the going before of another of the family, and sisters and brothers will miss her as well as friends and neighbors, and Salem Baptist Church must reserve a blank page on the church record as a tribute to her memory. Her faith was confirmed in Christ and her countenance radiant with bright smiles when waves of the Jordan of death began to roll back for her crossing, to ensure a safe landing on the shores of the heavenly country, which is so "far better." The weeping friends should resign quietly and in hope cheer up till the morning of a glorious immortality.

There is no headstone for Sarah Ellen Adams Abbott, obit in Calhoun Times, March 27, 1884 edition states the following. She was the daughter of Andrew Adams, whose body now lies silent in the graveyard near Bethlehem Baptist Church.
We regret to learn of the sudden death of Mrs. R.S. Abbott, which occurred Monday morning last. She has been suffering with pneumonia and on Sunday uncontrolled bleeding from the lungs, and expired as stated above.
Friends and neighbors, and Salem Baptist Church must reserve a blank page on the church record as a tribute to her memory.
