I am working on geneology for the mid-Missouri Brewer (Russellville, Columbia, St Louis are on into Linn County, Brookfield) and mid to southern-Missouri Bayley's (Waynesville / Springfield area). I stumbled across Find A Grave and added it to my resources to help validate data not thinking about how much a photo of a tombstone can bring people and memories to life.

I took my first couple of pictures in a feeling of obligation prior to asking complete strangers to take pictures for me. Since, my daughter and I have discovered a whole new world with new experiences, wonders and questions. The people we have worked with and talked with have been a tremendous help and very warm hearted.

A new day has begun. I travel far and wide throughout Colorado and have family in Missouri were I know requests in the rural areas are growing. I wish fair weather and fun shooting with the respect due our friends and family that have moved on before us.

Thank you
thank you for taking a photo of Sarah McNeil's grave. It answered a question, plus I am always comforted when I find the grave has been marked with a stone. So many graves are lost . Thanks again so much.

Jeremiah "Jerry" Dishman

Just got home from being out of town for a while, so just now getting back to you. Thank you for the pic of the marker for Jerry Dishman. Without the dates on the marker, it's pretty impossible to tell if this is my Jerry -- but the memorial creator did use the dates that I have for my Jerry. So that's probably as close as we will get to identifying him. But I do thank you very much for taking the photo! Every little bit helps!!!
