I enjoy walking through cemeteries looking for relatives and fulfilling requests for individuals searching for their family members. |
I think it is important to memorialize all the individuals I come across in my travels so they are never forgotten.
I do make typos from time to time so feel free to notify me and I will be glad to make corrections.
If I have created a memorial of your family member and you would like it transferred to you I will be happy to do so.

Thanks so much for the photo of the headstone of Leonard Cole Davenport. I am named after his sister, Margaret Thompson Davenport. Hers is the only headstone I cannot find at this cemetery. Her married name was Smith. She was born in 1826 and died in 1861.
You are a champion for doing this work.

|Alan Denslow||Correction needed|
I hope this does not become too confusing, but I have discovered an error that affects several memorials which you and others have linked together.
William Seymour, Memorial #133230768, is the husband of Maria C. Gaylord Seymour. (Memorial #133230769 should be corrected to provide the right name). The gravesite photo correctly shows Maria C. as William's wife, not Maria Celia Bellinger. I confirmed this when I discovered in a June 6, 1907 issue of the Lowville Journal and Republican, that William Seymour and Maria C. Gaylord were wed April 26, 1854. On both of their Find-A-Grave memorials, the only child of those listed that is their child is R. Olin Seymour (memorial #133230770). The others are the children of William A. Seymour (memorial #131487023) and Celia Bellinger Seymour (memorial #131487024). I know this because I am the great grandson of Dora Seymour Denslow.
Here are the memorial numbers that need to be reassigned to parents William A. and Celia Bellinger Seymour:
Cora Ingersoll -- Memorial #83295129
Dora Denslow -- Memorial #76530470
Nelson Seymour -- Memorial #89107963
Iola Edith Ingersoll -- Memorial #80463042
Please update the above memorial listings to reflect these changes.
Thank you for your assistance.
thanks for trying.

|Louise B||Mary Ager Peebles|
Mary Ager Peebles # 134624919 is the same as Mary Ager Pitcher that B Wernex has posted as # 172691620.
Mary Ager (Eager) was the daughter of William Ager and Lydia Wood. She was born in Vermont and married Philander Pitcher. He was drowned in 1847 and she remained a widow for a number of years and raised a large family and then married John Peebles. Her obituary in the Journal and Republican of May 31 1871 gives her death date as the 28th of May, 1871. She and John Peebles were married only a short time. The obituary can be found on the NYS Historic Newspapers web site. I believe she was the sister of my gg grandfather.
